Pattinson

Colonel Richard Pattinson was the Lieutenant-Governor of Heligoland from 1857-1863. His wife was Jessie Murray McQueen, who died suddenly at Bremen, Germany, on the 25th October 1858. Can anyone supply a newspaper reference of this even? She was the daughter of William McQueen of Edinburgh. Her body might have been sent to Edinburgh or possible buried in Bremen. Can someone find a cemetery record in Bremen? The family were Protestants (Anglican?).

John Henry Lulow

I'm looking for information such as birth or marriage records for John Henry Lulow who left Bremen Germany on 11/3/1868 and went to the United States. More than likely he travelled with his wife and children. I have information on them but am trying to find out information on his parents and her parents. John Henry was born 22 Nov 1827. He married Fredricka Marie Meinke who was born 29 Nov 1833. They had 7 children when they left Germany the oldest would have been 14 and the youngest 5 months. I have all possible information from the US but have nothing on the family prior to their immigration. Would really like to find parents, grandparents, great grandparents if possible.

Thanks, Gary! I have noted your lead and will keep it in my files as I continue my research. I have learned that my father got his information backwards and noted my g-g-great grandmother's birth place wrong. It is Dutchess County, not Oneida County where she was married. I am going to contact Vitalchek to see if I can locate a birth record or certificate! If you have any further information, you can contact me at my e-mail addess .

My Grandfather John Cooper Bremen was born on 13 February, 1854. His place of birth is unknown to us. Family story says that he stood on a street corner in New York City to watch Lincoln's Funeral Train. He lived on City Island in The Bronx, which is where my father was born. Perhaps he is kin to your Sarah?
