Dear Daisy,
I noticed you are located in Holland. Did any of your BREMMER family have its origins in what we call here the PALATINE Germans? I'm looking for info on a Ludwig BREMER from Braunschweiger, Ger., who was md. to Dorothea CASSEN, (aka Kass). They were in Schoharie Co., New York, USA before 1780 when my 4X Great, Margaretha Ludwig BREMER was bapt. Margaretha had siblings Wilhelm and Catharina.
Many Palatine Germans went first to Holland (and Ireland) before coming to New York, though England was the main point of gathering and embarkation. Many stayed in Holland and Ireland, too.
Thanks, Deb

Hello Josh, I too live in CA. I am 33 years old. My father's name was Robert Bremmer (11/22/21). He came here from Illinois in the early 60s. He never really had contact with his immediate family except his two children (Roberta and Robert) whom I have no contact with (Robert, the son has died). All I know is that my father was born in Elgin Illinois and that his father made alot of money during prohibition. Does any of this sound familiar? I'm looking for relatives, too.

We only have the Brehmer's back to her ggrandfather though. You can e-mail me at LauraMari@aol.com and I can send you the info.
