I have an original carte de visite photograph of “C. C. Brendlinger – Gilbertsville, Montgomery Co., PA”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Waterloo (Seneca Co.) NY, and he looks to be around age 50.

I found Charles Brendlinger in the 1860 census for Douglas (Montgomery Co.) PA – which I see is very close to Gilbertsville. In 1860, Charles and wife Esther were parents of six children (Amanda, Milton, Joshua, Willoughby, Jacob and Jonathan), and his age was 53. By 1870 census, Charles is not present, and Esther is head of the home, with Amanda and Willoughby living with her.
