Bob, I just came across an obituary today of a Mrs. Charlotte Brennecke that was in the "MENDON DISPATCH" newspaper of Mendon,Adams County Illinois. The obituary was dated December 20, 1923. It stated that she was a widow of the late Charles Brennecke and that she was born in Westphalia, Germany. It stated that she was 76 years old at the time. The survivors listed were; three sons, Charles, Edward, and Walter Brennecke and two daughters, Mrs. Henry Thyson and Mrs. August Meyer, and a brother Henry Hendrichs of Quincy, Adams County Illinois. She was buried in New Providence Cemetery, Ursa, Adams County Illinois.
The reason i made a copy of this obituary was because i had a gg grandmother named Sophia Brennecke, a daughter of Carl Brennecke, who was married to a Friederich Klussmann. That is all the information that i have on her. Can you relate any of these names to what you may have?
Hope this helps you out. If you need a copy of the obituary, i will be glad to email it to you.
