My g-grandfather was John Bressette, daughter of Catherine Bressette. Catherine is buried in Colebrook, NH. John married Sophia Record and she is also buried in Colebrook, NH. John then married my g-grandmother Lucy Lemire, and in 1910 they were living in Norton, Vermont. They had three daughters: Doris, Mary Irene, and Josephine. I'm seeking information on John, who was allegedly killed in a fight with a logger. I would like to correspond with anyone who has a connection to John Brissette/Bressette or this family. Andre (Andrew) nd Judith had many children - my gg grandmother was Cecilia - married to Edward Daoust. She is buried in Portland, OR.

I believe that your Aunt Bev was my birthmother. I was born Mary Ann Bresette at Hyland Hospital (Rochester, NY) on May 27th, 1961. I was adopted soon after. I have three grown children that would be interested, as I would, in any information the bresette family would feel comfotable in providing.

Beverly Ann BRESETT Snyder b. 22 Jul 1943 d. 15 Mar 1998-Rochester, Monroe Co., New York. Father of Beverly was Ivan Gerald Bresett (my grandfather). She and Uncle Donald had two children - Ronald and Lewis. Lewis died in a car accident 19 mar 1999, he was born 23 Nov 1972.

I am very interested in your lineage. My husband's maternal grandparents were Maxwell and Eva (Petrie) Bresett. They had five children - Betty, Maxwell, Arnold, Maxine and Ruby.
Ruby married Arnold V. Arquette on August 11, 1951 and had four children: Arnold Jr., Steven, Jolene and Betty. Arnold died on September 10, 1983. Steve and I were married on August 11, 2001 at the nursing home in Ogdensburg that his Grandma Eva was living in at the time. She died there on January 27, 2004. Ruby died on February 7, 2010 in Star Lake, and was buried on May 1st in St. Michael's Cemetary in Fine. Her brother, Arnold, died in early April 2010 in Florida. (Betty died about ten years ago) What is really strange about this is that my maiden name is Simmons, but I am not related at all to any of the Simmons' in the family tree! (I'm from Massachusetts and my ethnic heritge is Portuguese) I'd be interested in sharing info with you

I have been interested in the postings regarding Native American heritage. We have had the DNA of a decendent of Jane Bresett tested and it verified Native American heritage. I could find only 2 possible donors living (they being 90+ years old). Wondering if anyone else has done this.

Sherry, Yvonne, I am very interested in your families. My ggrandmother was Jane Bresett, ca1828-1912, born Canada & died MI. Old family notes indicate her brothers were John, Joseph, Oshel & Peter. We have done DNA testing that verifies Native American heritage.

hypolite was married to archange L,Hirondelle,they had a very large family ,I don't know the names of all of them but here are a few.john baptiste bressette edmond,ponite,charles,elie.edmond bressette married rosile gendron they also had a very large family .there son edmond married hurmine bonnaville,from port severn ontario,they had 11 children .one which is my grandfather maxine bressette hope this helps

Margaret Babian Bresette (and many variations)

Searching from any info on Margaret, probably born around 1810. She married Jacob Hildebrand in 1834 in Albany, NY, then they settled in New York City. According to family stories she was French-Canadian, but I have no facts yet.

Keeseville — Dora L. Bresette, 80, of Clinton Street, Keeseville, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at her home.

She was born in Keeseville on Nov. 4, 1921, the daughter of Perry and Bessi (Gladeau) Hackett.

Mrs. Bresette was a member of the Keeseville VFW Post 1505 Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed watching auto racing with her family.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis J. and James Hawkins of Rochester; nine sons and five daughters-in-law, Donald H. Bresette and John W. and Kathy Bresett, all of Keeseville, Reginald L. and Sandra Bressette of Westville, Jerry A. and Linda Bressette of Watertown, Richard B. and Jean Bresette of Keeseville, Robert P. and Gina Bresette of Port Kent, Joey Bresette, David B. Bresette and Michael J. Bresette, all of Keeseville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Anna Yates of North Carolina and Pauline and Barney Barnard of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, John; one son, Edward; and two daughters, Peggy Ann Bresette and Mary Bresette.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Rev. Garvin Demarais, pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville.

Donations in her memory may be made to the St. John's Church Building Fund.

I think we may be related. I also have a Joseph Bresett in my family. He is my Great Great Grandfather. My Great grandmother is Carrie Bresett Shannon, Joseph Sr.'s daughter by a second marriage to Mary Ann Simmons Bresett. My Joseph lived to be 90 yrs old and died of stomach cancer in 1902. Between the two marriages he had 22 children. His first wife was Margaret Martin LaRue. Is this the same person? Sherry
