I would like to join your web site. I'm Ken Smart and Addie Alice Brashears is my great grandmother. Her father was Jesse Brashear (1841-1916), his father was Walter Brashears (no dates), Robert Brashears (1787-1852) Issac Brashear (1760-1833), Robert Samuel Brashears (1731-1815) and Robert Brasher (1704-1786) who started out in Prince George's County, Md. Not sure if any of these names coincide with you line, as I don't find a Henry Alxeander in my data.

All the info I have comes from my Aunt, Joanne Maxine (Smart) Bisig Mayer, who passed away in 2003. She was very much involved in researching the Smart, McGhee, Helm, Lusk, Brashear lines of our family.

I can be contacted at ksmart1@kc.rr.com
I

Re: Elizabeth. I have found an Elizabeth Inu married To Middleton Brashear born about 1733 in maryland. He was son of Basil and Ann Belt Brashear. I am not positive of this Inu name, but it appears often in the records on Ancestry.com. I believe she is the woman you mention as over 100 years old. She was born about 1734??. If this makes sense to you, let me know as I am still looking for confirmation on her. Also, any connection to an Indian tribe. I have been told by my father there is Indian blood but he did not know the tribe.
Thanks in advance for any confirmation or info on this
Shirley Bayer

His address is posted on the Brashear forum. He has moved several times in the past few years but last address is in Oregon, think some where around Coos Bay. Go to genforum and type in Bre(a) shears and scan through the messages and you will find his name and address. If you enter a message to him on the forum, he will reply with the books he has available, the cost and how to reach him. Sorry I cannot be more specific. Good luck to you.
Shirley

Hi, I am not that sure of a connection but have family members on the Wells line that married into the Daniels family. I do not trace the line back very far on the female side as it becomes very difficult. My connection to the Daniels line comes from my grandmother, Sallie Simpson Wells. her sister, Lela Wells married Thomas David Daniels January 15, 1912.He was son of Dorsey Wells and Melissa Kassinger ? on the spelling. Thomas had another wife, Minnie Cassaway. I know no more. Sorry
Shirley Bayer

Henry Alexander Breshears

Hi ...well, there is certainly a lot of speculation going on here as to who is
father of Henry Alexander Breshears. I too am interested in any additional info on Alexander (Elic)Breashears
of MD. I think he is the Alexander BEZER who appeared in the old KY records about 1803. He is probably the Alexander of Philadelphia who paid tax in about 1800. The other Alexander Breshears who I am aware of were not adult in 1803 ...along with him was
James and William Bezer. I think in Livingston Co.,KY. you can contact other Breshears researchers at BRESHEARS-l@rootsweb.com. I will exchange info with you there.
Oh, by the way ...John Breshears born 1793 does not have "Quincy" as a middsle name. His Military record, Will, War of 1812 or pension papers do not give him a middle name. There was a John Quincy Breshears who married another Neomia Hogg in the next generation.
I wrote to the person that grabbed my research and erroniously assumed Andrew Jackson Breshears (my ancestor) was their ancestor. I can prove they were not descended from Andrew Jackson Breshears sdwho lived and died in Idaho after he removed there in 1877.
See my webpage at ...angelfire/id/deeproots.

I still think we are going to find that my descendancy from William BEZER, of Concord Meetintg House in Chester Co., and later of Gunpowder Hundred MD, is correct linkage. Maybe an in depth search of the MICRO-FILM for the old Livingston Co., KY records will yield more info on Alexander, Henry and James BEZER (Breashears?).
The published records have long ago been exhausted so we must do the Micro-film. Could sure use a concentrated effort on this project. Let me know what you think :-} Georgene

Brashears b. 1793. He thinks,
(can't prove) that Henry was son of Middleton
Brashears and Middleton was definitely son
of Basil Brashear(s) and Ann Belt. Also, that
Henry could not be son of William and Sarah
Cox. (there is more info there)

** Can anyone give Definite proof of Henry A.
Breashers parents? **

I would greatly appreciate ANY help,
thanks,
lori

I have been researching a Ludia, “Ludy” Gertrude Breshears b. 1900 in OK and married Davis Lee Bridges around 1916. They ended up in Texas. I do not know her father’s correct name, although I have found it listed on census records as Ac Dee or A. D. or A.C., it’s impossible to read the handwriting. I know nothing of her mother, but by pouring through census data, I believe the only wife I’ve found for Ac Dee (Maggie L.) was not the mother of Gertrude, but was her step mother. I would love to see the information on your website to see if there is any connection.

jill.pyle@sbcglobal.net

Breshears in Polk Co., Missouri and Dallas Co.

My family line for our line of Breshears is traced backed to have started in Polk Co, Missouri/Dallas Co areas. My grandfather Roy Breshears had two other brothers Willis and Raymond. All are now decreased. But Grandpa did do a genology of the all Breshears that came and branched out from Missouri. His father's name was James Breshears. The only Breshears I know for sure we are related to are in New Mexico, mainly Portales,NM and Los Alamos,NM. But I'm starting to wonder if some of the Breshears in Missouri, we may be lost kin. Please email me and I will email you the list of names my grandpa put together. Who knows we may be kin!!!

Sincerely,

Lance Breshears
