My G-Grandfather was Johan Andreas, b. 1858 in Strinda, Trondheim - his birth record indicates his father was Kristian Brevig.

I think I found Kristian (Christian) Brevig b. 1828 in Trondheim, his father was:

HANS BAADE ERICHSEN BREVIG born 18 Aug 1804 in Trondheim, Sor-Trondelag, Norway. He married (1) KAREN BERG, daughter of ELLEF BERG and KAREN CARLSEN. She was born 30 Aug 1811 in Trondheim, Sor-Trondelag, Norway. He married (2) ANE KRISTINA HENRIKSDATTER OYEN 04 Jun 1838 in Trondheim, Sor-Trondelag, Norway, daughter of HENRIK OYEN and ELEN OLSDATTER. She was born 07 Feb 1817 in Trondheim, Sor-Trondelag, Norway

Hans father:
ERICH BREVIG born in Norway. He married MATTE CATHARINA BAADE 15 Feb 1803 in Vor Frue Kirke, Trondeim, Sor-Trondelag, Norway

I'm stuck, I'm not sure how to look back further. Any assistance or information would be greatly appreciated.
