I am trying to find evidence for the connection between the Henry Brickell who was born in America, son of James Noailles Brickell, and the Henry Brickell (a tailor) who turns up in Wales in the 1830s or 1840s. It is possible that he was in Germany for some time in the 1820s. Does anyone have anything which would confirm this connection, or, alternatively, anything which would show that this Henry was definitely still in America in the 1840s? The Henry Brickell in Wales changed his name to Brittle in the 1850s, although I'm not sure why nor exactly when.
