My family, Patrick and Catherine (Redmond), along with son Edward b. 1838, came from Ireland in the early 1840's but I don't know where in Ireland. They went Toranto, Canana and had 3 more boys, Michael, Patrick and my G/Grandfather John b 1850. In the early 1850's they settled in Platteville, WI in America. Do you have any info on where they came from in Ireland? Where did you get that book about the Brides. It sounds very interesting.
