Don't know when you will receive or read this email, but I am a Bridegroom I believe from a branch of your family. My great grandfather came from IL/IN/MO
and moved to CA in the early 1900's.

There's a large branch of our family in IN.

My brother, Wayne, has done a lot of research and could tell you more.

It is very possible matter a fact it is probable. What is your moms name. how are you doing. I was sent a picture of MayBell and William Uhter awhile back with their Children, Grandma Nelda I believe was about 7 at the time. Dont' have many pictures of the family when they were younger though.

My grandfather was Orville Phillip Bridegroom who married Nelda Doris Uhter and his father was Henry Bridegroom who married Jesse frazee and Henry's father was Phillip was married to gertrude C. Halters, philips father was Charles A. Bridegroom who was married to Regina Schaeffer. Charles was married three times , Catherine Barth and Barbara R. Rubbel. Charles was the son of Adreas Brautigam and and Agnes leitzig. Some of the children kept the name Brautigam and some changed to bridegroom. There is a lot of bridegrooms in and arround Pulaski county, lake, county. Indiana and some in Illinois, My mother was orvilles and neldas oldest child her name was Elnora Jeanette Bridegroom and she married Earnest Raymond Mayfield, his parents lived in Bridgeport, Illinois

The Bridegrooms I am looking for came over from Kharlsrhue Baden, Germany in the 1800s and moved to Indiana.Myy grand father Orville Phillip Bridegroom marred a Nelda Doris Uhter I Believe in Crown Point,Lake County, Indiana. My great grandfather Henry Phillip married a Jessie Frazee. I don't know much about them except that Orville had 12 children and my mother was one of them, Her name was Elnora Jeanette Bridegroom and she married Earnest Raymond Neil Mayfield and had 9 children, me being the middle. If anyone knows this family or about them I would love to hear from you all. I am wanting to have a family reunion here in Mo. for both mom and dads familys on June 22, 2003. I am still interested in learning more about the Bridegroom family and in hoping to meet some relitives someday. My mom was Elnora Jeannette Bridegroom married to Earnest R. Mayfield. Her parents were Orville Philip Bridegroom and Nelda Doris Uhter and Grpas parents were Henry Philip Bridegroom and Jessie Frazee. I could keep going but right now I need to finish and get family ready for work and school and off. Any info would be appreciated.

My greatgrandfather was William Uhter married to Either Myrtle or Maybell Halverson, They lived in Lowell, Indiand, My grandmother was Nelda Doris Uhter. We knew she had family just didn't know who or where or howmany. There is a relitive still in lowell, ind. His name is George r. Uhter, i imagine a brother. I've written to him a couple of times. Anyways my first name Jeannette is also my mothers name and her aunts name , and my aunts grandmothers name before that so its in the family history , so its interesting to see that you have also a Jeannette , although we write it the french way.
