I do not have a lot on James Edward Bridge, but here is what I have. I am just now working on him.

James Edward Bridge b 1827 or 1832 (seen both) married Sarah A. Dorsey (b 1842 d before 1910), in 1870. James was a sailor and married late in life. Children were Rebecca J., Alma A. (who married George W. Powell), Ashby James, Homer (or Omar), and my relative Eunice Mary "Mollie" (b 5-6-1876 d 1958) Mollie married Edward Lee Leonard (1895), James Teele (1921) and John B. Kelley (1937).

Mollie and Edward had 12 - 17 children (still working on them), one being my grandmother Laura Frances Leonard.

Mollie did not had any children with John or James.

If I come across anything else I will gladly share.

She was born March 17, 1916, in Jewett, Texas, the daughter of the late Christian Frederick and Louise Blank Scheideman. Esther was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latrobe, its Communion Guild and the ELCA sewing group. She formerly had worked as a secretary for Teledyne Vasco. Esther was very independent and a loving mother, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene J. Bridge; her son, Richard C. Bridge; and her brother, Richard "Dick" Scheideman. Esther is survived by her daughter, Katherine L. and her husband, Paul Sowatskey, of Greensburg; her daughter-in-law, Michelle Bridge, of Derry; two granddaughters, Cathy (Mark) Farrell and Cari Sowatskey; two great-grandchildren, Alessio and Ryder; and several nieces and nephews. I have a lot of information on the Bridge family, but NOT all.

Is this correct information that you have?
William Berry Bridge, born and died in Texas.
He had a son Benjamin S. Bridge, b. 1802, in Mo. and
died somewhere in Texas between 1850-1860.

I would make this historical observation --
in 1802 what we call Missouri was either Spanish or French territory,
and there were very few "Americans" west of the Mississippi River.
I do have a Samuel Bridge (born in Mass.) who was married in 1799 in what is now Ste. Genevieve Co., MO.

If William Berry Bridge is his father he would have to have been born 1775-1780.
I think (but could be wrong) that there were very, very few Americans in what we call Texas in this time period.

The 1891 census includes a Samuel Bridge, aged 3, born Atherton. His parents were Joseph Bridge, aged 45, born Salford, who was a Cotton Spinner, and Mary A., aged 35, born Warrington. The family lived at 36 East Street, Atherton.

I see it's been almost 11 years ago this was posted. I am looking for more information on John Coyle (b.1764) and Elizabeth Hanlan (b.1772). Research says they were born in Ireland and my journey stops there. I want to know more about them if anyone has any information.

According to his death certificate Charles was buried in the Catholic cemetery in Clarion, PA> It doesn't give a name for the cemetery. I assume Rose was buried in the same cemetery.

Hello I have a John Bridge Dobson b. Nov 2 1795 in Liverpool. I have not been able to locate him since his baptism in Dec of the same year. Also I have not been able to determine the origin of his middle name of Bridge. Does your Bridge research include the name Dobson and Armstrong ?

John Henry Bridge, born 1863 in Birkdale, married Harriet Riley (his 2nd marriage although it states he's a bachelor on the marriage certificate) on 16th November 1897 in Fylde Register Office. They had 2 children, William Henry, born and died 1898 and Mary, born 1899 in Blackpool. Does anyone know anything about this family post 1911?
There is a John Henry Bridge who marries a Martha Ann Senior in Fylde Register Office (or registrar attended) in 1919. I wonder if this could be the same JHB?

my maiden name is Bridge have found a great grandfather Solomon Bridge In census there is one in Cheshire 1841, one in Derbyshire 1841 and one in Lancashire 1851
ASolomon Bridge married my greatgrandmother Isabella Hartley in Sullivan County Indiana U.S. She returned to Canada with four children one of which was my grandfather Edmund and one of brothers was William My great Uncle Bill who lived in small village here in Ontario Canada where i live now Just returned from trip to cemetery in Brantford, Ontario where we found most of the graves

I am looking for info about my ancester William Bridge (Born around 1858 according to various Census's).

Married Jane Rebekah Shrimpton 28 Sep 1879 St Paul's Parish Church, Kipling Street, Bermondsey, Surrey (Now london).

I am unable to find a Birth record for William.

Is there anyone else out there researching this line?

Or anyone who fancies the challenge of helping me find a birth record for this individual?

Could be that he was Illegitimate and Bridge was a name he took on somewhere along the way, but have been unable to find anything concrete to go with.

Any help of guidance would be appreciated as this one has me stumped as to what to do next.

Going by census records, James and Sarah had several children including James Ashby, or Ashby James depending on which record you view. Ashby has a son named Henry Willard, which correlates with my great grandfather Henry Willard Bridge birth date. So I am trying to find out if anyone has any information on James and Sarah. I have Bridge connection that I have not been able to solve.

I'm especially interested in Nathan or Nathaniel as his house is still standing and is presently named after him. I am looking for information on Martha Anne Bridge (dob May 30, 1868, Atherton (Chowbent) England) - daughter of John Bridge and Mary Berry Bridge (died 7 December 1890, Coalville, Utah). Specifically, I am searching for a photograph. She is my grandfather's mother and she died when he was less than 11 months old. Her mother and brothers moved to Magrath Canada after her father died (they are shown in the Canadian 1900 census). One brother Richard - a drugist in Heber City, Utah - remained in Utah. He married Sarah Kirkman and had several children (Richard Kirkman, Moroni Kirkman). I understand that some of the family moved back from Canada at some point in time (I have been in contact with a cousin, but no photo).
My grandparents had six children with my mother the only remaining child. I have still have hopes of finding a photo before she joins my grandparents and her brothers and sister, but I am beginning to think there isn't any hope of finding a photo.
The family had Mormon missionaries living with them in two UK census (1871 and 1881) and I have tried to find photos through that avenue, but no luck (missionaries were Edward Samuels and Moroni Brown (son of James Brown, founder of Ogden, Utah).
Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

As indeed do I. "The Geneology of john Bridge the Puritan" from 1632 to 1912, by William Dawson Bridge, who looks eerily like my father. I am also in the Matthew line. Most relatives still live in Massachusetts and we have a reunion every year I run the Boston Marathon.

If you go to one of the Mormon Geneology libraries, it will take you right to the book. Unfortunately, the place I purchsed the book is out of business.

If anyone has access to the birth/baptism records for Purleigh, would you please check for a record of William Bridge born 22 April 1826 at Purleigh, Essex. His date and place of birth are recorded on his naval record. There is no father's name recorded on his marriage certificate and I do not know his mother's name either. He ended up settling in Devon where he died on 12 February 1873 from Paralysis at the Royal Naval Hospital, East Stonehouse. Any information would be greatly appreciated as I have hit a brick wall as to where I may find out the names of William's parents.

My grandmother was Florence Bridge married to Enos
Harris her parents were Alfred Bridge & Louisa Bridge from
Burnley.I've traced back to Abel Bridge & Ellen Bridge nee
Lancaster but I don't know if I've got the correct one as there are two Abel's & two Ellen Bridges around at the same
time.
