Give me some more names if possible. I am a Bridges who lives in Boerne, Tx. There are thousands of us in Texas. Particulary in the eastern part of the state. My bunch settle in Rusk and Panola Counties in the 1870's. We are now all over. There is also a pretty good group of us that settled in Bell & Williamson county in the 1880's. Henderson is the county seat of Rusk, Carthage of Panola, and Belton of Bell County and Georgetown of Williamson.

I'd like to share any info you have. I have one of his daughters; Bessie, living with my great grandparents, Charles Garwood Burnett & Sarah C. Edge / Burnett, as their neice. If that is true I'd like to know the connection.

This man had several wives. He liked them young. My grandmother Flora was given to him in 1899-1900, as payment for a gambling debt. She was half Choctaw, so it was no big deal, I suppose. She bore him one child; a son, Eugene. My grandfather, Edmond Eberling, stole her away from Bridges, just days before the tribal chief and two of his men went to steal her back. It's quite a story.

I hope you have something to share with me too.

Hello, I am looking for information about George W Bridges whom is my great-grandfather. I know that he was born 1875 and lived in Butts co. in GA. I have found two census records from 1920 & 1930.

I am looking for further information regarding his parents, and perhaps his siblings. My grandfather told me that he had a step brother name Lucius Bell.

Their grave monument says one date but Georgia Death lists another.

OK, I have to correct something. Mary Hasel was Aaron's daughter, not his mother. I have his mother down as Margaret Matilda Holland. This may or may not be accurate, but I do know that Mary Hasel (b. 1850) was the daughter of his first marriage.

I am looking for a link connecting William Bridges as far back as possible. He is my direct 5x Grandfather and I can't find anything else on him. He was born in Richmond, Va and died in Muncie, In. He married Mary "Polly" Frakes (Bridges) 1794-1878, born in Kentucky.

I am pulling my hair out trying to find William Bridges. He was born in Richmond,Virginia and married Mary Polly Franks (1794-1878)1827 in Paris, Kentucky. They had two sons, William Irvin Bridges (1828-1895), and John Griffith Bridges (1831-1911).

If ANYONE has information about William Bridges Sr. and can help me to continue that Bridges line, it would be welcomed. I know someone must know... I will look forward to any clues. Thank you for your help!

I do not know if William Bridges had any siblings. As I mentioned before, I do not know his parents names. I only know that William's father was killed on the day he was born.
William Tare Bridges (b 1865) was married to Caldonia Dawson (b. 1869). They had the following children:

His father, name unknown, was born in Tennessee, and his mother, name unknown, was born in Missouri. His father was killed on the day William was born, Jan 29th. Her brother Henry was the father of Ann's husband Jimmy (James.) Do you post obits from all over, or just Neshoba Co?

My ex-wife's grandmothers' mother was a Bridges. I have no idea what the grandmothers maiden name was but I do know that she married a Mormon(Sir name). I also know that they lived in Arkansas and the grandmother moved, lived and died in Houston, Tx. My exes mother grew up in Arkadelphia, AR. That is all I know about any of what you are asking. I also have no idea if we are anywhere close to helping you with your search. I hope we are. Let me know if I can help you any further. I may be able to get you a way to contact my ex.

My cousin Mike Allison may be able to help you. Denson rings a bell in my mind. Also the Bell County. I am a Bridges and there were two sets of Bridges families in Bell county that I am aware of near Belton. I will look into my information and see what I have. There are several Bridges that I know about and some I do not. Mike's mother is still living and is in her early 90's, and he may be able to get some 1st hand information from her.
