It is my understanding that our brierleys emigrated from the Rochdale area in the late 1800's to ealy 1900's and settled in Kearny, New Jersey. The family was in the funeral business and My son and I have kept up that tradition to this day. My great grandfather was James Brierley and he married Sarah Jane Catlow. They had a son William (my grandfather) who married Hazel Hedden and produced my father, William Catlow Brierley. All of my family are now gone and nobody ever kept any records. Those that are alive are in the same boat I am, they don't remember or never knew. If anyone has any information about my side of the family, I would really appreciate hearing from you. W.
