Hello Sylvie, i believe that your line are the Lincoln Brightons, but i will say this there was a Brighton in France much earlier, i was going through some early records and in one which was a report from Waltsinger to Queen Elizabeth the first under the heading of protestant non conformists and papists living in France there is listed one Brighton residing in Paris in 1590.
