Dear Barbara - Thank you for all the wonderful information on the Henry George Brill family of Indiana. We had no idea about the "Freels" surname.

For what it's worth, adding onto the lineage of Henry's daughter, Melissa (Lizzie):

Melissa married John Bolin bc. 1855 Clay County, Indiana. John was a mine superintendent in Brazil IN, and died of black lung disease. John's parents were Elijah Bolin bc 1834 and Sarah Bolin bc. 1836, also born (and we think they were distant cousins) in Clay County Indiana. Elijah served in the 2nd Indiana Volunteer Cavalry in the Civil War and was with Sherman on his march to the sea.

Melissa and John Bolin adopted a boy named Ralph (don't have his date of birth) and then had a son Lester Bolin bc. 1905 Indiana. Lester married Margarite Barry bc. 1904 Indiana. Lester and Margarite had three children:

Lawrence Arthur b. August 27, 1924 Chicago, IL my father
Ellen bc. 1929 Chicago IL
Robert Bolin bc. 1931 Chicago IL

Hope this is helpful.

Again, thank you for your information. It is greatly appreciated!

Jane Bolin
