Bennett Brink was the son of Abram Brink (abt 1814-1 Jul 1849) and Hila Bennett (23 Jul 1815-25 Aug 1845). Hila was a daughter of Daniel Bennett and Rebecca Norris of Steuben Co., NY, where Hila was born. The net has all of Daniel and Rebecca's family. If you want more on the Norris line let me know. I have it back to 1150 in England.
Steve Norris

Please let me know where you want me to e-mail information.

Since I work full time it will take me a little bit of time.
A lot of the info is on my old computer which will have to be transferred to this one.

Jonathan and Sabra Brink in Palmyra, PA in 1803

The history of Pike County tells me that my 6X great grandparents moved to Pike county (I think the town was Palmyra at that time) from Milford in 1803. However, despite much research, by many branches of the family, we've been unable to determine which Jonathan Brink is OUR Jonathan before 1803. There are several in the area of Milford. So, we have no birth date, or solid info before 1803, and have been unable to trace back any farther than Jonathan, though we're almost certain he is a descendant of Lambert H. Brink who immigrated from Gelderland, Holland in 1629. We need this connection to make the final jump to our European roots.
There are many Jonathan Brinks in the area, so if anyone knows which one married Sabra Edwards and moved to Pike county in 1803, there would be many, many grateful people out here in Ancestory Land. Sabra was born in NY in 1778.

Brink Family in New York

I am searching for Lillian M Carey (1877-1961) a "native" of Hemlock, New York and married to Alexander "Ellick" Brink (1861-1941) son of Lewis A Brink and Colista Electa Ann Porter. Alexander and Lillian lived with their children in Yates County, New York and they are buried in Coye Cemetery, South Bristol, Ontario, New York. I was looking for information on Lillian's parents and came across her obituary in the Canandaigua, New York newspaper the Daily Messenger. It lists Lillian's living siblings as Dora Brisbane, Clifford Carey and Wilbur Carey. Assuming that Dora had married and changed her last name, then that means that Lillian's last name should have been Carey (a fact that I had not yet found). I searched for Lillian's siblings and found a family (Nelson Carey [1855-] and wife Frances J) from Livonia (Hemlock is a village in the township of Livonia) in the census that matches this information, but Frances is too young to be Lillian's mother. Further, Nelson is not listed as having a family in the 1880 census when Lillian would be about 2 years old. However this is the only Carey family that matches in the area. I was wondering if perhaps Lillian was adopted or a product of a prior relationship of Nelson's. I would appreciate any information on any of the people listed here. Thanks in advance :)

My Grand Father has the same name and was a teacher, but because of appartheid laws, his family disowned him, which is when he then moved to Germiston in South Africa Johannesburg.

I am trying to get as much info on my family as far back as my great grand father.

My Great Grandpa William D. Brink had a brother named Dwight. I would love to talk to you about this. William's wife was CHarlotte HOrth and they had their children (I think 14 of them) in Chicago, but we don't know where they came from. Perhaps Holland, MI area?

The following is from a Pennsylvania KLINE Family Bible that was sold on eBay on 2 March 2011

HOLY BIBLE

Containing the Old and New Testaments,Translated out of the original tongues, together with the Apocrypha, Concordance and Psalms, and with the former translations diligently compared and revised.

The text conformable to the original edition of the year of our Lord 1619, and the American Bible Society's original standard edition of 1816.

The Marriages and Deaths pages are blank.

Births:

Charles Wesley Kline was born in Jersey Shore Lycoming Co. PA, 24 Mar 1847

Harriet Francis Kline was born in Charlton, Clinton Co., PA, 8 July 1867

Frank Charles Kline was born at Jersey Shore PA on Thursday AM January 21st, 1904

Charline Kline Brink was born at Eaglesmin, PA Feb 15th, 1901

John Halfield Kline was born Oct 8th 1840

William Henry Kline was born August 25th 1842

Mary Elizabeth Kline was born June 24th, 1844

Margaret Ellin Kline was born ecember 5th, 1845

Clara Kline was born April 15th 1849

* * * Children of Aaron Kline and his wives Mary Hilsher or Hester (2nd wife?)

John Halfield Kline (1840)

William Henry Kline (1842)

Mary Elizabeth Kline (1844)

Margaret Ellin Kline (1845)

Charles Wesley Kline (1847)

Clara Kline (1849)

Harriet Francis Kline was the wife of Charles Wesley Kline. Frank Charles Kline was their son, and the 1910 Census shows Charline Kline Brink living in their household. It appears this Bible may have belonged to Charles and Harriet Kline.

(passing this on from the Kline family
Family History & Genealogy Message Board .)
Would anyone have information on James Dederick Brink and Rachel Colvin Brink's son James A Brink? James A Brink was married to Emma C. Van Der Mark. They had twin girls, Maude E and Mae E Brink. The twins were born 2/6/1876 in CA. I would love to know why James came west since the rest of his "Brink" lineage looked like they stayed in NY. Mae was my great grandmother. Mae married Charles F Harvey and Maude married brother James Larkin Harvey. Mae is buried in Adin, CA and Maude is buried in Stanislaus County.
FYI...If you have not had an opportunity to read "Lineage of the Brink Family" you should. Tons of information and fascinating as well.
Thank you! Lora "Harvey" Renville

Hello,

I am looking for who the parents of a Bennett Brink. He was born in July 1839 in New York. He had several children, Judson Amsey Brink is one of them. He married a Harriet C Grover and they lived in South Dakota.

If you have any info regarding him or his parents or family, please e-mail me. We have hit a wall with him. Our only clue is that in 1850 he is living with a Dennis Brink and a Sarah Brink. We know that he lived in Wisconsin with the King family in 1860 and was accompanied by a Judson Brink.
