What documentation do you have that shows John T. Brinlee was the father of Hiram?

If you have a proven ancestry of John T, we have done DNA testing on the Brinlee family and could compare the results.

While John T. was in the area, there are 3 different family groups all claiming John T. (all appear not to be related to each other) as their ancestor and so far none has been able to prove it. The Tennessee Brindley's, the Kentucky Brinley's and the Texas Brinlee's. DNA has been completed on the Texas Brinlee's and currently waiting for results from the Kentucky Brinley's (various current spellings)

If you know of a proven descendant from John T., it would be good if DNA testing could be done. It is painless, just swap a q tip inside of your cheek and return the kit.
