I'm not as familiar with the Brinleys as I am with the Kings, so are you descended from the Brinleys who married into the Kings? In other words, are you descended from the Kings or Rebecca (King) Brinley herself?
Don
I won't get back to you til Monday, as I send & receive my email at my local library & usually don't do it on Sundays.
Don

Part of my family. They were in Jefferson County Kentuck. They descend from John Jacob Brinley, son of Jacob Brinley and Eve Hoke.

I descend from Mathias Brinley who married daughter of Jacob Brinley, thus Brinley married Brinley. According to the DNA folks, they were not brothers but most likely were related 2 to 4 generations earlier.

The Brinley side back to 1721.

There are many different unrelated Brinley/Brindley/Brinlee families in the US.

English Brinley's were among the early settlers
The German Brinley's had many different spellings in Pennsylvania in the middle 1750, and gradually changed to Brinley by the early 1800's. The two groups are not related.
Brinlee is unrelated to any of the above.
All of the above verified via DNA.
The entire database is not on line. I have over 12,000 individuals in it. I will be uploading more family trees in a few days, if not yet today however your family is currently there.

Go to: brinley.net > Charts > Jacob Brinley - Kentucky

Do a word search for Rebecca King...or optionally look for Generation 3, you will see John A Brinley (about 80% down the page). Please note, I will be uploading a new tree soon, thus a find may be easier. You can also e-mail directly from the brinley.net website.

Clyde Brinley

Clyde, I did find Margaret Brinley on the 1900 census from Honeybrook,Chester Co.PA. But I cannot find any thing less. She was living with a sister and brother- in -law Amos Engles. Also in 1870 I found a Margaret Brinley living in the home of a Gallager in Lancaster. The age was a little off but that could have been an error. That is all I have at the present. Have sent money to Chester County to research files for me, deaths and buriel and mabe divorce papers. Still waiting. Thanks for your interest. I will continue the search. The information that I received from Summit County Ohio, was the wrong Margaret. Will keep in touch with my progress.
We have been involved in a DNA test for Brinley, Brindley and Brinlee families.

The Brinley family is not related to the Brindley or Brinlee family however the Brinlee family is related to the Brindley. This is a general statement as all Brindley's are not releated to each other.

Linda, I thought you were probably still working on this same family. We are doing a DNA test on several of the Brinley lines currently. One of which is from the Richard / Franklin line to see if they tie in with any lines we do know. Their DNA was submitted last week.

We should have test back in about 4 weeks and will then post the results at http://brinley.net

Are you going to be able to attend the National Brinley Reunion in Louisville July 25th - 27th, 2003.

Clyde Brinley

Hiram Carroll Brinlee is my gggrandfather. His father was John T. Brinlee. Hiram was born December 25, 1808 and died July 28, 1885 in Collin County,Texas. He is buried in the Brinlee Cemetery at Melissa, Texas. He was married Elizabeth Anne McKinney. Hiram Carrol ran a general store at Stony Point. His son, Hiram Carrol "Dink" Brinlee Jr. was my ggrandfather. His son, Louis Boone Brinlee was my mother's father.

Thank you for your response, however I think we may have different people, My great grandfather is buried in hartford Arkansas, he was born in 1872 and died in 1942. I found this out from a cousin in Arkansas child of Glenn Brewer, Glenn was born in 1920 and died in 1988. I have a picture of Montie (about 2 years of age) with Alec (Daniel Alexander) and his wife Eliza in 1896.My Aunt Minnie was born in 1901 and Lee was born in 1910 and my grandfather Omar Chester (Clyde) was born in 1903.The two pictures I have of Clyde Jr. are in 1931, and in 1952 taken in Linda Vista, where ever that is. Never the less Thank you for your time. Unless my Alexander is a Junior, but I think that idea would conflict with your Alexander. I do not know the fathers name of my Alexander only that Alexanders first wife was Eliza Blackburn and his second wife was Ola Glasko. My granfather had a family just before my dads family or at the same time, I am not sure But my grandfather went by the name of Clyde and had a son in which my aunt Minnie called Clyde Jr. which would make my dad Kenneth Dale and his brother Mark as well both of there sisters Irene and Evelyn half sibligs with clyde Jr.

I am not a Brinkley researcher, but I have a copy of a photo I took of the gravestone of Aquiller Brinkley, who most likely was born and lived in Princess Anne County, Virginia.

You can view the image by clicking below:

http://genealogy.roonierella.com/Chesterfield_cemetery_photo...

This is what the stone says:

Aquiller Brinkley
Born Mar. 4, 1849
Died July 4, 1890
At Rest

Enjoy.
