Born in Wheeling, West Virginia April 15, 1838, George W. Brinnon was the son of William P. and Elizabeth P. Brinnon. When a child, his parents moved to Champaign Co., Ohio and later to Caldwell county, Mo.; then to Davis county in the same state.

He married Nancy A. Smith, daughter of Jonathan Smith, on Oct. 24, 1864 on the Payette River. She died May 14, 1877.
George died June 1919. Both are buried in the Evergreen cemetery in Ontario, Malheur county, Oregon.
