I'm looking for information re: Emily Brisbane who is listed in family papers as first wife of David Smith from New York. David, my g-g-grandfather later settled in Michigan. His second wife was my g-g-grandmother Catherine Smith b. Nov 8, 1830. The note I have accompanied a small purse. It reads "Crocheted by Emily Brisbane 1845 granpa Smith's first wife. He was still alive in Feb. 1893 according to a letter from Catherine.
