Looking for information on Simon Alguire,wifes first name Marion. Married Abt. 1858. Lived in Ontario, Canada.
There son Augustus Alguire (born 8/17/1859 near Toronto in Ontario, Canada) is my gg-grandfather who lived in Minnesota, U.S.A.
Simon and Marion died when Augustus was very young and he lived with an Aunt untill he came to the U.S.A.about 1879.
Any information would be appercitated.

I have started to research my husband's side and noticed this old post on Alfred. This Alfred is his great great grandfather. I am looking for birth/death dates on him and his wife Maggie. I saw that your notes mentioned something about death dates of 1924/1925 in Seattle. I am also looking for what cemetery they are buried in. Also, any whereabouts of his son Alfred H. would be helpful. If you could provide me that information, that would be fantastic. Sorry, I don't recognize any of the photos. I did notice one photo taken by my Great Grandfather but not the person. The photos I have are of buildings and celebrities in Leadville that I found online at the Denver library.

Our Family has been in Detroit,Ecorse, and Lincoln Park MI since the early 1800's. Their farm was on Pepper Rd. (now Outer Drive) We do have a history book that has been done with alot of information . Joeseph Brisbois was my Great Grandfathers , Grandfather. You are more than welcome to e-mail me if you are interested in the information I have. My Great Grandfather was Herbert Brisbois -married Ann Besner. Both born in 1900 and both died in 1992.

Hi! My mother's family name is Brisbois. We have all been doing a lot of research trying to find info on the Brisbois family...from what we can tell when the Brisbois family came to America from France they split up, part going into Canada and the others going into the US. My grandfather was born in 1911 in Marshall, Missouri, to John Duffy Brisbois. John Duffy's dad was John born June 4, 1838.

Hi there! I too am searching for a Louis Brisbois from Canada who was married to Martine Lauzan born in 1827. This date seems sketchy since they married in 1882. He had a daughter named Emilie Brisbois born in 1857 and a son named Ovide. Could this be you Louis Brisbois? If yes, do you have any more info?

My grandfather was Charles Bruce Brisbois, born in Iowa in 1884. I am searching for information about his family. We were always told that his mother was a Winnegago indian, but Andrews doesn't sound like an indian name. Maybe you could fill me in on what you have about this family?? Thank you.

Of course I'll send you a copy, it's your family. Keep in mind that this paper will only be a major over view, with the concentration on his time in CO. If you have any information on him that I could use or scans of his photos please consider sharing them before my paper is due. I only have 2 weeks to get it together. Thanks.

Most of the photos I have found were in Leadville, CO., at the library, County Court house and mining museum.

I had to do original research on an artist in Colorado during the 19th century. I was looking through photos at the Colorado Historical Society and loved his work. I've been looking all over antique stores, thrift stores, etc. for one of his photos for my own personal collection, but I've had no luck.
Do you know of anywhere else his work might be? I found one other photo of his in the collection at the University of Washington.

In the Soulanges registry, the parents of Joseph Lecompte who married Sophie Lucie Brabant Feb 3 1834 in St-Polycarpe, Soulanges, Québec, are listed as Jean-Baptiste Lecompte and Josèphte Martin.

Does anyone know of the existence of the parents marriage? or was this an error in transcription? Should the father actually be Pierre Lecompte...and...Joseph married twice (first to Catherine Sedilot and then Sophie Brabant?) I would appreciate any information that may be offered!!!

As well, does anyone know of Sophie Brabant also being referred to as Sophie Brisbois, and can proof be supplied?

Searching for ancestors of Alfred (Alphred) Brisbois, born in Illinois, abt 1854. Married Margaret (Maggie) O'Keefe in 1881.
Moved to Leadville, Lake, CO abt 1882. Had 3 sons, Frederick, Alfred and Joseph. Alfred was a noteworthy photographer. The family moved back to Chicago in the 1890's. The family was on the 1900 census in Chicago.

My gandmother was Zoniedde Brisbois who was born in 1897 in Qubec. She was the first generation born in the Americas. She married George Monica in 1913 and moved to America. I beleive she had an Uncle names William Brisbois. Besides this, I know nothing. If anyone knows of this line your info would be very helpful.

Everyone in the 1870 census in Ecorse Township (or pert near) was related. I don't know the relationship to my husbands family but they are living close to our relatives....
Alexander Reaume b1836 & Tharise Leblanc b1842
was our line - it seems Tharise Leblanc's family was large and they married into Cicotte Riopelle Bondy etc etc...

Louis C Brisbois was born in Prairie du Chien, WI on Nov 20, 1827. parents were Louis Gabriel Brisbois and Judith Provost. Elizabeth Rangier (?) is probably the child of Gabriel Rangier and Mis-qua-nah-quod-o-quay.

I have relatives in Quebec Hyacinthe born in 1826 in St. Hermas and Olive Drouin born 21 May 1829 in St, Benoit. They were married on 14 Feb 1848 at St. Hermas, County of Deux-Montagnes.

Could this be the same people you are talking about?

Bert Brisbois was my great grandfather. His daughter was Dorothy Roberta Brisbois who now lives in Rockmart Georgia
She was raised in an orphanage in Macon Georgia until Grandaddy found her again when she was grown. She has been wanting to find out anything she could about her daddy.

Further information to my 7/1/00 message: Have discovered Loretta Dougherty-Brisbois had 2 sons, John O. b. c. 1915 Chicago and James b. 12/23/1818 Chicago. James d. 6/22/1990 in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, CA. Husband of Loretta may have been John Brisbois who was an inmate in Cook Co. Jail c. 1920. Father of John may have been Odilon Brisbois. Any further information out there??

Sandy; Sorry I can't help with any of the names you listed. My Brisbois connection was Odilon b. Canada and his son John Odilon b. Chicago. John was married to my grandfather's cousin, Loretta Dougherty.

John had brothers Carter and Thomas. In the 1910 city directory there were Alfred, Luke and Louis in addition to Odilon...maybe that's where your connection lies. Good Luck! Judie Mason, Chicago, IL

Mr. Murphy also had a sister Rose Murphy Jolley of Chicago.
Mr. Murphy was born 3 May 1877 in Joliet, IL.Died 23 Mar 1956 in Michigan.
