I am looking for info on:
Captain Thomas Jr. SMITH B 1806 in ME or England Lost at sea off the coast of Mantanza Cuba 22 Aug 1830 on his way home to Portland,,ME.
Thomas was Ancient Master of Doublin Lodge (Masonic) at Garwagh (720 Londonderry) & he commanded the Brigg Patriot (lost at sea with him).The only survivor of the wreck was said to have brought a small chest with private papers to Thomas' widow Rebecca BRITAIN. This chest was said to have been in posession of a Horatio Turner of St. Joseph,,MO.
Rebecaa BRITAIN B 1806 in England D 5 Mar 1870 was married to Capt. Thomas Jr. SMITH & they had the following children:
1. Frances Jane B May 1820 in New Brunswick,Canada [1880 census in Palmyra,,MO says she was born in ME] D Aug 1898 Brookfield,,MO. She married 23 Sep 1843 in St. Louis,,MO Horatio Francis [AKA Frederick] TURNER B Aug 1817 in England (grew up in Philadelphia,,PA) D Aug 1877 in Palmyra,,MO.

I am 16 years old. I was born on August 20th 1983 in a Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. My mother's name is Marnie Grundman. My father's name is Glenn Britton. All I know about him is that he is in his 40's, has a Scottish Grandmother, is about 6 ft. tall, has blonde hair and blue eyes and lived in Louisiana in the early 1980's. If you fit this description or know someone who does please email me. I am just interested in knowing whether or not my real father is alive. I don't really expect much, just to maybe talk to him a little. I am pretty happy, but I would like to know things. Where I got my nose and coloring from, my love for music and reading, my neverending optimism and motivation, who had a hand in creating my life.
