Tommy Ryan is also my cousin. His miom, Cecilia, and my dad, joe fletcher, are double first cousins. My grandfather was William prosper fletcher and he married Abigail Davila. William was john's brother and Abigail was Emilia's sister
Tommy Ryan's sister Margaret lives in Bayard and I have other cousins in the area also

Fannie (brito) fletcher was my great grandmother. She married wm p. fletcher in pinos altos nm and they had 3 sons; Isaac, John, and William p.( my grandfather). She was widowed very young and later married frank bell and had several other children.
France's was born in pinos altos in1858 or 1861.
There was also a daughter named Fannie, but she was " bell" not fletcher. I am trying to research my family and would appreciate any info

Jose was my 3rd great grandfather of mine. My Aunt knew his daughter in law, wife of Epimenio who live to be 100. She is going to send me photos of Epimenio and his wife Virginia Moya. Yes he had a daughter Clara. Some of the children of Saturnino ended up in Estancia, where many of my family resided.

Maybe you can help. I have been looking for Adela Brito for the last 40 years. She was born in 1924 in Santa Fe New Mexico. Mother, Gertrudis Brito, Brother Frank born 1922.

Santiago Brito was born in Mexico. Any Information you find on him would probably come out of there and Pinos Alto NM (where his son Frank C was born). I myself am not a Yaqui Indian, Frank adopted my grandpa that's how my family got the name. However, Santiago Brito was born in Mexcio. Any records about him and marriges and what have you, would come from there.

My hobby is to try and help fellow NM researchers with books or references that I have in my home.
I am hoping that you have found more information by now, but this is what I found for you:

Document Source: “Partidas de Los Casamientos” Marriage Book beginning in February 1856 thru December 1900 from the Church of Immaculate Concepcion, Tome, The Territory of New Mexico, Microfilm FHL 001 7029.

On the 22nd of November of 1880, I married Dionisio Chaves son of Antonia Chaves with Estefana Brito legitimate daughter of Saturnino Brito and of Gertrudes Torres, from Valencia. Padrinos, Estanislao Otero and Filadelfia Aragon.

On the 13th of February of 1871, I married Juan Moya son of the deceased Toribio Moya and of the deceased Miguela Chavez from San Fernando with Petra Brito daughter of Saturnino Brito and of Gertrudes Torrez. Padrinos, Marcelino Baca and Barbara Moya.

I don't Know if you have A World War II registration card 1942,For Julius Brito I have a Copy of it and a lot of other, I was serching in Cuba about my Granpa, Antonio Brito and I found a lot of Other info about our family. I beliave that Julius Brito was my granpa's auncle any away

I am a Brito from Cuba, My Greatfather came to Cuba from de Canary Island in late 1900's a beliave, I am now living in Canada but all my family still in Cuba. The family Brito es very big there and all of them came to Cuba from Canary Island ( The all ones ofcourse)I will search more when a visit Cuba next time.

My Great granfather's name was Mariano S Brito, he visited Cuba, New York and Tampa (He changed his name from Mariano Salavarria Brito to Mariano S Brito) I have pictures, do you have any?

I went to visit my mother in Cuba and she give me some papers from my granfather, any ways My granf: Antonio Brito Concepcion his father: Antonio Brito, his mother Faustina Concepcion, his Father Parents were: Mariano and Maria Antonia and his Mother parent was Sebastiana. I would love to know more about the history of them in La palma, Canary Island.

The first picture it shows your grand father and your grand mother but it also shows uncle Lorenzo who was married to Rosario he was a great person. He worked together with your grand father in Cuba and New York he then went back to his wife and live in Vallehermoso until his death.

It is a very pleasant surprise to have read your notice. Your grand-father was born in Vallehermoso, La Gomera Canary Islands a very beautiful place. Hi, my grampa was from La Palma, Canary Island, he came to Cuba when he was litle, with his parents,and twin brother. I dont know their parent name,I will ask mom. Grampa name

Antonio brito gonzales, I dont know the name of his parents, will ask my mom. they came to Cuba when my grampa was litle, they were twins, his brother manuel brito Gonzales.once I saw ther uncle that came to Cuba to visit them I think his name was pascual or raimundo I dont rebember. I am in Canada now, but all my family is still in Cuba, and a large part of the Brito family is there. I would love more info on the family to. I heard that most of Brito have rich lands in la palma, Spain still, wich belong to my grampas parents.

Frankie, I have been trying to find you ever since I saw this post in 2001! My husband's family lived in Rio Arriba county NM since at least 1806. Your email is not working, and no one knows about you except me. I have written a book: BRITO BEGINNINGS which I share online. You lived in Las Cruces and went to UNM, that's all I know...please get in touch! New research shows that the Santa Fe Britos were really named Leon and came north from Zacatecas Mexico.

Hello, my grandparents were Cape Verdean-born on the island of Boa Vista , CV: my grandmother was Virginia Isabel Brito, born June 11,1889, mother was : Libania Oliveira Brito-her brother's name was Antonio Leandro Brito, at 14 she left Cape Verde and lived in New Bedford, Ma-I am trying to find out who her family was that lived in New Bedford, Ma. One of her relatives made six string guitars=called violas. My grandfather Manuel Brito Lima married Virginia in 1905, in New Bedford, Ma. They had six girls: Maria, Isabel Virginia Lima Holland ( my mom ), Adeline Lima Santos, Luiza, Josophine and Francesca Lima. I am trying to locate any descendants of the Lima side: Manuel's parents were: Serafina Oliveira and Manuel Lima. My grandfather may have had a sister living in New Bedford, Ma ( I do not know what her name was ) . I did locate a cousin who lives in Lisbon, Portugal-her grandparents were from Boa Vista, Cape Verde ( Surnames: Brito, Fortes, Oliveira, Cruz, Silva, Evora, Lima ). My cousins grandfather was a sea Captain and traveled to the New England area-I did know his nickname-that is how we connected. I have family everywhere: Portugal, France, Germany, & USA, There is a hugh Cape Verdean population in Rotterdam, Holland and in England. Most of the relatives have passed on-I am trying to piece my ancestry thru death records, marriage records and queries such as these to obtain info. Hello, I am directly related to Jose Saturnino Brito. He was my great great great grandfather. I to can find no other information on him other than a Census Listing with his birth date. I have even tried looking at his wife Maria Gertrudis Torres and this led nowhere. I do not know of any brothers or sisters he may have had. As I live on the east coast now doing research in NM has to be planned. Let me know what you may find.

My name is Brandt Brito and I was born in Albuquerque, NM. I am of hispanic background and not Portugese. I live on the east coast and the last name of Brito is Portugese. I can only track my heritage in NM up to my great grandparents. I can't find any information on marriages.
