William Britton (1754-1813)was a loyalist born in NJ who moved to New Brunswick following the Revolutionary War. His wife was named Christianna Moody. I have them having a son James Moody Britton who married Catherine Thorne in New Brunswick in 1802. I have no information on the children of James and Catherine, but suspect your Moody L. Britton was a grandson.
