I'm a Brittain descendent and a distant cousin. Since your posting at the Brittain Message Board and my first response I've been researching Orval Lee Brittain.

My G Grandfather was Orval Lee Brittain from OK who married Alice Loflin. Any info of their lineages would be appreciated. Their son, my grandfather was Orval Sid Brittain. My father was Virgil Lee Brittain. I was born Orval Ray Brittain, and was adopted by Melvin King.

I began with just his name and birth info. I had his ancestry. Within the last two days I now have his two marriages, and some of his children (4). Do you have more?

Orval's parents were Sidney Smith Brittain 1846-1912 and Sarah Lavina Brenton 1858-1915

I have made this extract from his WW I Draft Registration in 1918. I used a digital image of the original card. It contains his signature if you'd like a copy of the .jpg image.

The last location I have for him is 1935 Lynn Co, TX when his son Arthur John Brittain was born by his second wife Jessie Mason. Her name comes from the 1930 census and the TX Birth record for son Arthur.

Do you know when and where Orval Lee Brittain b. 1885 KS died? I'm guessing Arizona.
