I believe some in the family (listed above) later moved into Allegnay Co. MD (now Garrett Co.) because of information provided on the following land record.

At the request of Bernhardt Steiding the deed was recorded June 15th 1877.
This deed made this 19th day of Nov in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and seventy five by us John H. Craver and his wife, Mary E. Craver and William Brobst and his wife, Louviania Brobst of Garrett County in the State of Maryland. Witnesseth that in consideration of fifty dollars paid in hand, we the said John H. Craver and his wife, Mary E. Craver and William Brobst & his wife, Louvinia Brobst do grant unto Bernhardt Steiding and his heirs and assigns all of the following describe piece or parcel of land all our undivided interest or share, in a lot of land lying & situated in Garrett County & State of Maryland known as Lot (1906) nineteen hundred and six containing 50 acres more or less. To have and to hold our undivided two fifth of said lot, which belonged to our Father Francis A. Brobst, deceased. The said herein described premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Berhardt Steiding and his heirs and assigns forever.

In testimony whereof we the undersigned have hereunto affixed our seals the day and year first above written.

I also "suspect" Francis A. Brobst was the son of Johannes Jacob "John" Brobst and Catherine Liesure/Leisure. John later married Mary Ann FRIEND and I found other deeds where John and Mary Ann Brobst sold property to the above named chidren.

I apologize for the length of this post but I would like to talk with anyone descending from the line of Francis A. Brobst and wife Lydia.
