Thanks again Glenn. I'm going to the courthouse and historical society in Pottsville in the near future (was gonna go this weekend but my honey-do list got in the way). I have a TON of research to do on the Seitzinger line for a ceremony on June 3rd for James Monroe Seitzinger. He earned a Medal of Honor in the Civil War and the ceremony will be to place a memorial plaque on his grave in Fountain Springs.

The Brosius marriage certificates are high on my list of things to get while I'm there.

It DOES look like the Horns and the Brosiuses were pretty close. I'll be on the lookout for more info on the family to tie them all together.

Thanks again for all the help.

Troy

(Female)
Brosius, George B. (Male)

there is also

5-8078 1885-1910
Horn, Emma E. (Female)
Brosius, John A. (Male)

It would seem that these two families were very close.

-Glenn

Hi. Your Boyd Oliver Brocious is the same as your Boyd Brocious. Both were born 11 Mar 1881. He also died in Oil City, PA on 5 Dec 1929.

He did indeed have a son named, Norman, born about 1922 in PA. The last thing I have for Norman is that in 1930 he lived in Ringgold, Jefferson Co., PA.

Hope this helps you.
Norma
Thank You for your generous offer. My great great grandmother was born in Pa 1813 Where? Her name was Susannah (Spelled Broche on her death notice)Other family members spelled it Brocious-Procious. Her parentage is unknown to me. Altho I have a few ideas. She had a sister b 1819 Pa. Her name is Mary Procious according to history. She was married I think in Ohio Geauga Cty. She is found there with her husband and two or three of his children by a previous marr.Joshua Frost b 1818 NY lived in Crawford Cty Pa near Oil city. Her first son was George W. Frost b. 1854 Geauga Cty Oh. She then goes back to Meadville Crawford Pa Has Sylvester, Jackson, Nelson, William then moves to Iowa.
Back to Susannah! When she and John Walters first show up is in the 1830 Jefferson Cty Census. With first child a dau Eliz. J, born in that year and an older couple. The male is 10 years younger than the female.
Do you think you can help. I have been trying to document all the Brocious Procious families living ther at that time.
There is also a Peter Procious in Brookville married to Eva Mohney in the 1840 census. My family connects positively to this line in 1860 when Eliz. J marries to Jesse Mohney.
Thank you for listening to me
Yvonne
