Julius Had a son Adolph...My dad's father was Adolph and mother was Ida Bullert Brockhoff.

my ggreat grandfather 's brother was julius christian ludwig brockhoff 19/7/1812 schwerin germany - ?????
he married maria sophia wilhemina maragaretha nickammer 1816-1866 born rostock germany
i wonder if your julius was child of his - the other connection i note is the name rudolph - it was used in the family several times as was the julius - i am in nsw australia - my e mail address is kerry@darthsmith.com

adolph brockhoff b 1842 schwerin came to australia d 1923- was in usa new york wisconsin /virginia 1860/2 in census new york 1861 - left and came to australia 1863 anyone know anything of his movements in those few years ?story is got into trouble with a girl?????
also his ggrandfather johann frederich wilhelm brockhoff b.1789 neuhaldensleben then married 1811in schwerin - father frederich mthr.???? anyone know anything of this family where they might have come from originally?

Looking for any info regarding either Herman Rudolph Brockhoff (b 1883 d 1960), his father, Julius (b abt 1859) and beyond to Germany. I have the wives and children of the two men. Herman is my greatgrandfather. (His daughter Viola Marie married Edwin Nachtsheim, my dad's parents)

I'm not sure if this is much help as I've just started researching this line myself, but my great grandmother's name was Clara Emily Brockhoff and she lived in the Arlington, MN area. She married August Wentzlaff. Clara's mother's maiden name was Kleist. that's all I know for now! I'll keep you posted if I find anything more. I ask that you do the same? Please? : )

I am looking for links in Germany to the Brockhoff family, I have info from my mothers, mother birth certificates, death, baptism.
I have been searching for links on the net but find it very hard to find the ancestrial links in Germany.

Frederick immigrated in 1889. Lena was 9 of 10 siblings. children Margaret, Frieda, Helen,Irmgard and Arthur. census records have the family in the Queens, NY area.
Am looking for anyone related. looks like arthur died in 2003 and Frieda in 1995. margaret married to Mowbray. irmgard married to Muff. Irmgard had a son Russel.

My G.Grandfather was John Henry Brockhoff
(b.1858 d.1952) and his son was William Julius (b.1884 d.1972), but all dates occured
in Hamilton county, Ohio.

I just saw your message. My g-g-grand father was Julius August Brockhoff b. 12 Oct. 1821 Wesske, Westfhalen, Prussia married 20 June 1854 to Elizabeth Schraer (b. 30 May 1832 Brockterback, Germany) in Hamilton County, Ohio. Julius died 17 Feb. 1901 in Hamilton County, Ohio. Julius had a brother in Cincinnati, August Brockhoff who had a son Henry. I was wondering if some how we connect.

Ron: Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, I have been away from the online community. I moved and am just getting back into this.
John Henry Brockhoff died in eastern Nebraska on a farm between Avoca and Elmwood. When he came to America around 1890, he first went to see "cousins" in New York who sent him "out west" to Nebraska. He stayed a few years then brought his mother Anna and two sisters-Dora and Sophia over.
Sophia died shortly after getting here in 1892. Dora married into the Amende family of Syracuse Nebraska.
It has been very difficult tracing these roots as not very much other information is known.
