I am researching two families of Brockman- First family is August Brockman bn 1795 who came from Hanover Germany in 1848. They resided in the town of Sullivan, Jefferson Wisconsin until his death in 1856. His wife remarried a John Treu. Her name was Hannah Melessina. August and Hannah had the folowing children- Louis,1842, Lucritia 1840, George, 1847, William 1850, Julia 1853, Otto 1856. August also had 3 children by a previous marriage Fred, Henry, and Mena. Second- looking for information on Christoph (born 1821) Brockman who also lived in county of Jefferson in the 1848-1855 time frame. His father is listed as Frederick Brockman and appears he also came from Hanover area. Christoph moved to southeast Monroe County, WI and the Treu family moved to northwestern Monroe County, WI. Trying to find out if August and Christoph were related. Louis Brockman changed the last name to Brookman, but others did keep the Brockman name.

Anyone have any information on these two families.
