Thank you, Karen, for posting this thread! My name is Jeff Brode and I am the oldest son of Andrew Lewis Brode (jr.) and Lucille Brode. My dad was Robert's brother, whom I never met. Nor have I met any of Robert's sons. I am pleased to have that chance through this forum. I can answer a couple of questions.
My paternal grandmother (Jane Lewis Brode) was indeed living in Frostburg when she died. My dad (Andrew jr.) died on 2-7-2004 in Ruidoso, NM. Dad and Mom (Lucille) were married in Ohio in 1955. Mom's maiden name was Lyons. They had four sons also. Me, Doug, Rick and John-in that order. We lived near Akron, Ohio until 1967 when we moved to Los Alamos, NM. Dad and Mom moved to Ruidoso, NM in 1990 after Dad retired from Los Alamos Laboratory (he was a machinist). Mom still lives in Ruidoso. Doug, Rick and I live near Denver, CO and John lives in Big Spring, TX. Mom has only one grandchild, Karl, who is John (and Jill's) son. I hope this fills in some of the missing branches. If any of Robert Brode's sons are inclined to, I would love to hear from them.
