A newly found distant cousin recently contacted me with info that Rebeca was a KOHROCK from Neustadt and Dankmarshausen. I do not know for sure where Christian BRODE originated in Germany.

In one of the census reports for Tamaqua, Schuylkill co. PA, an elderly John and Martha BRODE are living with Christian and Rebeca.

I have a few other leads to follow up, including the naturalization papers for Christian which I am told are in the Pottsville courthouse. :) I hope they tell in what town he was born.
