Theodore and Josephine were not the only children, there were also another boy named Frederick (who was in the Civil War) and a girl name Silest (spelling?).
We have a marriage document of mary (I think), it is in German. We also had a written letter, in german, from the family which was burnt in a house fire.
We have a picture of a child that might be Theodore also.
The Nation Confederate Musuem has many, many letters from Josephine to Frederick during the civil war. We have all of them photo copied and are a joy to read. Josephine is known as "Joe" to her brothers. It also talks about Theodore being thrown in prison by Northern troops because he was trying to join is brother's Artillery unit.
I dont know has much as my father on this, but will post more information later.
