John Henry Brode was born in Prussia (Berlin) around 1805. He married Magdelana Friedmann, who was born in France around 1811. Check US Census records for New Orleans (1840, 1850, 1860). Among their children were Theodore and Josephine Eleanore, my great great grandmother. (I have other records I can forward once I figure out how.) Josephine married Francis Bertrand Trinchard and they had a daughter, Mary Isabell, who married my great grandfather, Maxime de Grosz.
