Leon Bromberg of Galveston, TX 1916

Leon is pictured in the 1916 Review, yearbook of Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, and is a senior. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching the family.

My father Jakub Bromberg is living now in Poland,City- Lodz.He moved to Lodz in the spring of 1933. He was born in Bodzentyn ,Kielce in 1919.

Bromberg and Rubin sounds more like German names. I have experienced that for several of my German ancestors their country of birth was typed and indexed in american documents as "Russia" what should have been "Prussia".

Just a hint.

Myslf I am still looking for Bernhard Bromberg born 1915 in Berlin/Germany.

I am looking for additional information on my maternal great-grandparents, who emigrated from Russia to NYC c. 1920. They lived in Passaic NJ and operated a milinery business. They had 10 children, most came to the US in the early 20th century; Frank, Israel, Celia, Valu, Morris are a few. I have information that relatives of Gertrude and /or Isaac (siblings?)moved to California sometime in the 20th century. I would like information on their birthplaces or where they might have lived in Russia.

Looking for information on Susanna Brombarger's parents. The census shows they were German. She married a man named Michael Dimler , who was from Baden Germany .Susanna was born around 1841. They lived in the Newport Campbell KY area. She also lived in Dearborn Co. Indiana area at the time of her death. Am seeking any information on Michael or Susanna's parents.

Father: Olof Nilsson Nord or Nordenson, born in 1844 and married in 1873.
Mother: Emma Carolina Olofsdotter, born in 1846.
Children: Anna Carolina Olofsdotter, born in 1875.
Emma Kristina Olofsdotter, born in 1875.
Amanda Olivia Olofsdotter, born in 1878.
Emigrated from Lulea, Norrbotten, Sweden in 1878.

My grandfather Wolf Goldfarb was born in 1867 to Chuna and Golda at Miedzyrzec Podlaska, lived in Lodz where also Lurie and Goldfarb nephews lived. A sister was married to a rabbi Lurie in Warsaw. He had a cousin - Dr. Bromberg in LUBLIN. He came to Israel in 1932. Do not have any info/1st names/other.
Any relation?

My husband's great-great granndfather came here from Prusia,Posen region near the town of Bromberg. His name started with a P when he was entering the US. They changed it to Bromberg to be more American. Any information on a Martin Bromberg/P

Your posting contained so many similarities to my own family,I thought I should respond:
My brother's initials are MJB.
My grandfather (Jan) came to the US from the Ukraine around 1892.
He had 2 wives.
They lived in Passaic.
Jan had several children by a prior marriage.
