Room for one more. My GGgrandfather was Joseph
Brooks from Huddersfield. He was married to
Betty Brooks of Bacup Lancashire. He was from
sheepridge. I understand there are 3 main
families. My GGGrandfather built the first
woolen mill in Pike Co, (Dingman's Child's Park
PA) What is left is in the national Park.
I have a history back to 1629. with brother/
sisters etc, will check names in your lists
and get back. Anyone out there related???
We are the New Jersey/PA contingent. There
was a sister who went to Ft. Smith Ark. and
married someone named Preston. Another Daniel
who married Joseph Brook's sister (first cousin)
who went to Chicago. Joseph died 1832.
I have quite a history on this family.
