I am descended from John and Frances Brooke, who came with their two sons, James and Mathew Brooke, from Haag, Honley, Yorkshire, England in 1699 aboard the ship Britannia. The parents died almost as soon as they set foot in New Jersey, but the sons survived. They settled in what is now Montgomery County, PA, on a 750 acre piece of land acquired by their parents because of a Land Grant from William Penn.
I pretty well have my genealogy figured out on the Brooke ancestors, but would be interested in making contact with people who are possible cousins.
I would also be interested in finding my ancestors on the female side. My ancestors on the distaff side of my BROOKE line have the following surnames: Evans, Kendall, Stetler, Yost, Roeller, Bertolet, Houck, Boyer, Hunsicker, Ziegler, Tyson, Nash, Colley, Sellen, Clemons, Clemer, Spare, Shamback.
All of these families pretty much come from Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia.
