Is there anyone out there related to Lieutenant-Commander S.J. BROOKFIELD and perhaps have a photograph of him. I am writing my late father’s Royal Naval Career into my family history and would dearly love to have a photograph and some details of all the persons that he served with at HMS Birnbeck, and the Department of Miscellaneous Weapon Development (DMWD) during the Second World War. I have done much research on this subject and would welcome hearing from anyone who can perhaps give that small extra personal touch to events that occurred between 1940 and 1943.
