Here is what I know: Arthur Brooks: b. 1732 Vir. d. 1820 either in Tenn. or Ala.> Matthew Brooks b. 1775 Person County N.C. d.1847 Person County N.C. > Matthew Brooks II b. 1799 Person County N.C. d. July 13, 1885 Person County N.C. >John Thomas Brooks b. May 15,1826 Person County N.C. d. July 25, 1868 Webster County Ky.> William Durham Brooks July 25, 1851 Person County N.C. d. July 7, 1928 Webster County Ky > Elmer Brooks b. May 31 1896 Webster County Ky d. Dec. 3, 1972 Madisonville Ky. I am not sure how John Thomas got his name. I do know Matthew Brooks b. 1799 married his cousin Elizabeth Brooks who was the daughter of Rev. John Thomas Brooks of Caswell County N.C. He and Arthur Brooks were brothers. Can any one link to these people. I do have children and siblings on some. Thanks
