The family lived at Lydden Grove and had stables at the back that led out onto King Georges park area they stabled horses for Wandsworth area, Family also had a Car Breakers yard that was quite busy and a Antique and Second hand furniture business
Head of household was Ernie Broom with Annie his wife later years the house was run by my uncle Johnny Broom who was bringing up his nephews Ernie, Freddy, Georgie, Paddy,

Would really like to contact Ernie Broom a roofer who hit the headlines when he was shoot by a gunman who had been paid to shot his neighbour I will paste part of it you may remember back in 2003

Hitman shot wrong man, court told
A HITMAN hired for £100 missed his target and shot the wrong man by mistake, the Old Bailey heard yesterday.
Instead of ambushing Dougie Burns, a security manager, Paul Jones got the wrong address and fired at Mr Burns’s next-door neighbour, Ernest Broom, the court heard. Mr Broom was shot in the stomach with a sawn-off shotgun, resulting in 250 perforations in his bowel, although doctors managed to save his life.

Ernest has more or less dissapeared overnight after this incident and the family would like to know how he is if anyone has any information please let me know

Thankyou
