I am trying to find information on my husband's side of the family. I can get back to a Johann Jacob Brumbaugh b. 1728, d. April 10, 1799 who settled in Frederick Co., Maryland. He married Mary Elizabeth Angle. Supposedly he was an orphan when he came over from Germany. But I have found some sights listing him as a cousin of Johannes Heinrich and other places listing him as a son Jakob (Jockel), does anyone know the correct information?
Any information would help!
