Margaret Jane Smith Brummitt

I am trying to locate the father of Margaret Jane Smith Brummitt. Her mother's name was Harrett Smith and they were from Rural, Anderson County, Tennessee. Does anyone have any information on her and her family. I know she married James A. Brummitt, Sr. She would be a great-grandmother. I just cannot seem to locate a father for her. Also, it would really be nice to have a picture if anyone should be so fortunate as to have one. Thank you

My grandfather's name was Squire Brumett, and my dad's name is Paul Brumett.They are from KY.

HELLO! These are my grandparents!! :) I can't elaborate on Tom, much. I HAVE NOTHING and seem to be going nowhere, as I can't seem to tie him to anyone! I know the following:

Vadah Elizabeth Brown Brumett was the daughter of George Moss Brown (Jul 31 1870-Mar 20 1952) and Agnes Elizabeth (Lizzie) Murray Brown (Aug 9 1870-Feb 2 1941).
Children:
Emory Murray (went by Murray) Brown (Sep 1893-Jun 29 1945)
Ralph Lamar Brown (Feb 1 1895-Jan 26 1959 - m. Jennie Matt Mayton
George Morris (went by Morris) Brown (Oct 9 1898-Nov 10 1937)
Vadah Elizabeth Brown Brumett (Nov 12 1900-Apr 5 1979)

Tom (and, that was it: Tom...with nmn) and Vadah Elizabeth Brown Brumett had only one child: my father, T. W. (Thomas William "Bill") Brumett. He grew up in West Texas and, after marrying Edna Lucille Newman Newman Brumett, they moved to Irving, Texas and had two children: Dr. Thomas Owen Brumett (my brother) & Judith Lucille Brumett Cross Hopper Blevins Newman (me).

Daddy passed away in 2008:

Funeral for T.W. "Bill" Brumett, 82, of Chico will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico with the Revs. David Shawver and Johnny Irish officiating. Burial will be at the Chico Cemetery.
Brumett died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at his home.

Born July 29, 1925, in San Antonio to Tom and Vadah (Brown) Brumett, he married Edna Newman Dec. 1, 1951, in Port Arthur.

He retired from General Motors and was a member of the United Auto Workers. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; son, Thomas O. "Tommy" Brumett and wife, Eve, of Decatur; daughter, Judy Newman and husband, John, of Mesquite; grandchildren, Caitlin Brumett, Josh Brumett, Heather Hopper and John-Thomas Newman.

Pallbearers will be Joe Campbell, John Jensen, Josh Brumett, Curtis Stevens, Lloyd Newman and John Newman.

I am the great great granddaughter of JE (born abt. 1884) & Annie (born about 1887 & last name may possibly be Douglas) Brumett. My grandmother Beatrice, (born Feb. 6, 1909 in Illinois) was their daughter and was left with another family at a young age by her father and never knew much about her mother. Could anyone shine any light on this for us. My mother, Beatrice's daughter, is 75 and is still looking for answers about her mom.

I am still trying to find info on Meta Maxine Brumett she had a sister or an aunt named Hilda and she lived in ca. Meta was married to Robert Smith for quite some time they have 5 boys and they know nothing of her family. If any one can help please let me know.

I am looking for some information on a Riley Melvin Casebolt-Terry and his wife Farlee (Grigsby) Casebolt-Terry, they were my great grandparents. Their son, Denver Carl Casebolt-Terry was my grandfather. Riley died very young while working the coal mines and Farlee apparently re-married to a Brumett man. My grandfather had a full brother named Ed or Edward and two half sisters, whom one was named Violet Brummett. I was wondering if anyone had any information on Riley and Farlee Casebolt-Terry. Marriage records of Garrard County, KY lists the marriage bond of Spencer Brummett and Betsy Nickum, July 11,1807. I would be interested to receive information about Spencer Brummett's parents and county of birth and/or any information about Spencer Brummett prior to date of his marriage.

Do you have a Charles born about 1852 KY or a Richard F. Brumett born about 1857 KY? These two Brummets are staying with my Mason Brummet in 1870 Dist. 1, Wayne Co., KY. Maybe if I can pin point where these two belong I can figure out where Mason belongs!

my g-grand father is george w brummett. he was married several times. sarah followell, my line is cynthia anne johnson.
my sources say he was born in ky. in the early 1830's and died 1907 at brummetts creek by bloomington, ind.
charles L brummett is one of his children, 4 or 5 other children., william thomas, jesse, anne, mary, molly.
my dad is charles richard brummett. brummett is spelled several ways, it doesnt matter. if any one can help me find my ggfather, george and his parents, please contact me.

I have found out that my father spelled his last name Brumett and my grand father (his father) spelled it Brummett. His name was George Will Brummett, from Negro Creek, Brodhead, KY. I think he was married 4 or 5 times, and the geneology shows first the three children he had, but doesn't show any others.
