I'm looking for more information on Joseph C Brunner and family. He married Maria Louise Schneider in Manhattan 19Jun1887. The certificate notes he is a "detective of the central office". He was born in Bohemia. The certificate gives his parents as John Brunner and Eleonore Gregory. Maria's maiden name was Maria Luise Berger, daughter of Matthias Berger and Sara Kobelin of Eichstetten, Baden. She may have married there or in the US before marrying Joseph. She was living in New Jersey at the time her brother Jacob Berger died in Wisconsin in Sept 1908. Her brother Christian Friedrich (Fred) Berger died in Washington state in May 1907.
