I have something to share in respect to another poster back in 2001-2. "Brunner" was the last name of my ggreat grandfather, Adam Brunner, whom was working in Dewite, Dwight, IL in the early to mid 1870s as a ship builder. According to a K.Zimmer that posted years ago on this thread, "Adam Brunner was present at Freiderike Brunners' christening" So. This is where it begins to get interesting-They are both Brunners. Same age. Luthern of course. Adam's mother was also from the Wurtemburg area. There's stories about family religious debacles in Germany and here too. well thats it for now.
