Dominick A. Bruno Dominick A. Bruno, age 72, 8054 Hamot Road, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 22, 2007. Born in Carbondale, Pa. on July 28, 1934, he was a son of the late Frank and Elsie (Tochelli) Bruno. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy. He had been an equipment operator for PennDot, where he was a union steward. He was active with the A.F.S.C.M.E. Retirees, and enjoyed golfing and woodworking. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mary Bruno. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary (McHugh) Bruno; two daughters, Donna McClure and Karen Stolitza, both of Erie; five sons, Frank Bruno, wife Loretta, Philip and Dominick Bruno, all of Erie, Anthony and Michael Bruno, both of Tennessee; a brother, August “Augie” Bruno, wife Norma Jean, of Erie; a sister, Bernadette Dombrowsky, husband John, of Carbondale; 21 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling at Brugger Home for Funerals, West 38th at Greengarden Blvd., Saturday 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services there Monday at 9:15 with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10:00 o’clock. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
