This is all I have on Comfort Canty Green. She was the daughter of Moses Green and Comfort Canty and had, at least, 1 sister, Susanah Green who married Adam Benbow. She died on 5/5/1808 in Richmond Co., GA. She and Josiah Brunson had 7 children between 1777 and 1794 (Josiah Jr, Daniel, Matthew, Allatha, Hezekiah, Lennory, and Lancy).

This is what I have on Benjamin R Brunson that I have not posted: He was the first child born to Daniel and Mary Platt Brunson after they arrived in AL. He and Mary had the following children all born in AL:
William J, 1842
Eliza J 1843
Joel Edward 1845
Elizabeth 1848
James A 1851
John F 1854
Thomas M 1855
Caroline 1857
Benjamin served in the military, Civil War as a Private in Co. B 25th AL Inf Regt. He is not listed with the family on the 1870 census of Crenshaw Co., AL. So assume he died before 1870.

Evelyn

Henry was the son of Thomas Bronston and MAry
Thomas lived in Franklin County, PA in 1790 and 1800 and in Mercer County, PA from 1805 (land purchase) to 1831(death). His will mentions 4 daughters ( Jane Sarah, MAry and ELizabeth) and 6 sons (Jacob, Thomas Springer, Joseph, John, James and Henry) and has many descndents. DNA linked his PA descendents with those in KY, KS and elsewhere.
His name is spelled Bronston, Brownston, Brunson and Bronson on documents. His KY and KS descendents spell the name Bronston and the PA descendants speel it Brunson and Bronson.

KENNETH AND IRMA BRUNSON- MY BIRTH PARENTS

Hi to all,

I am trying to locate my birth parents and/or siblings.

I recently submitted my MtDNA to familytreedna.com for testing but I did not have a Brunson in my matches. From this I also found out that I am not the child of Dorothy Bisgrove.

Here is the web link for my data at adoption.com:
http://registry.adoption.com/records/87566.html

My deceased wife posted the above info before she passed away.

I was told by my adopted mother that I came from a very large family and they had to "give up" the kids due to not having enough money to take care them.

Both of my adopted parents and grandparents are no longer living thus I have no one else to ask questions of.

If any one can shed any light this situation I would be grateful.

Thanks in adavance,
Alan Curran

Hi Sam, I am going to try this again. I tried to send you a reply, but as I went to edit it, it disappeared.
Harvey is buried under HD Decker, April 18, 1956. Minerva is buried in the same plot as Mrs. HD Decker. I think she passed in 1945 approx. Ruthie is also buried there. The name of the cemetary is Cedar Hill(Lawn), Vicksburg City Cemetary, Mississippi.
There is a grave for a Pearl Decker(wife) next to H.D Decker. There was a grave also Marked AJ Decker, The cemetary thinks it was Harvey's father.

What I was asking about Decker,Deckard, and Dekker, If you know where Melissa Snow got the last name as Deckard on her messages. If she received the information on Deckard by Harvey or from Alfred. I was told the last name was changed when the family came from Gemany/France/Holland. I was just wondering if you may have known.
Ronda

If you are looking for more about the children of Ezra Davis and Lucia Brunson, I would be happy to share what I have uncovered. That was the result of that winter of hunting. My list of Elizabeth Davis Annis' children came from Annis Annals, a book I got on microfilm from the family history center. That book even contains my Dad and I think me. I would still like any information you have about specifics of Ezra and Lucia Brunson Davis' deaths.

I was glad to read your response. I spent nearly a whole winter trying to figure when and where Ezra Davis and Lucia Brunson died. I discovered alot about the family-but not the details I was after. I think that was when I wrote the query you answered. Your death dates are right in the timeframe I suspected. Did you get these dates from family stories, documents, cemetery records? I found your family tree, which contains names familiar to me-Annis, for one, I also noticed several Drury names, my maiden name, but nobody I recognized.

Rhonda,
Can't thank you enough for all your information. Can make some corrections to what I have. My information on Ruthie was that she married Henry Butler in 1919, but died in 1921. I now know that is in error. Do you know the approximate date of the picture you have of her and your Dad. And the date on the birthday card. She may have been the one who married Enoch Mullen. Mabel was the one married to Ruby Daily, don't know why i wrote Mary.
William Henry Sanderson died 8 Mar 1904 in Clarksville, Tn and is buried in Cumberland City, Stewart County, Tn according to his obituary. He was 38 years old. Dixie died in 1905 in Clarksville and is also buried in Cumberland City, Tn, according to her obituary. She was 20 year old. Romie is a son, not a daughter. He was a paperhanger. He died Aug 23, 1926 of TB. He was 29 years old. He was married to Letha Hatcher. They had two sons, William and Charles. Charles died Feb 16, 1926. He was 1 month, 24 days old. Both Romie and Charles are buried in the Collier cemetery, Montgomery County, Tn.
I don't know who Henry's mother was, but his father, William, married Parlee Suggs in Christian County, Ky in 1868. As a child Parlee lived in the household of William Brunson in the 1850 Stewart County, Tn census. William Brunson's brother, Isaac K. Brunson was Minerva Belle Brunson's father. Parlee's mother, Pamela may have been William and Isaac's sister.

I don't have anything on Ruthie. Not sure if she is Henry's or Harveys. I have Mary born Jan 11, 1907 and died on Jul 12, 1999. She first married Ruby Daily. I don't know if he died or they divorced. They had two children, Nora Lee and Kirby Andrew. Kirby was born Oct 18, 1925 and died Jan 13, 2000 in Vicksburg. Mary later married Enoch Mullens. He was born Sep 24, 1901 and died Apr 1972. I have Louis born Jan 24 1912 and died Jun 1982 in Jackson, Hinds County, Ms. I believe Louis was Minnie and Harvey's only son. She had two sons by Henry. Arthur Dewey Sanderson and Alfred Russell Sanderson. Not sure if these dates are correct, but this is what I have in my notes.
Sam

The name is Brunson. Minerva (Minnie) is a younger half sister to my ggrandfather, William Washington Brunson. Their father was Isaac K Brunson. William's mother was Elizabeth Heflin. Minnie's mother was Mary Perdue. I don't have information on Harvey's family, other than what I have seen when researching Minnie. I was interested in his two sons by Alice, so have enjoyed your posting of their families.
my email is sbrunsonchapman@cox.net
Sam

Rhonda,
Sorry, but I don't know the correct spelling of Harvey, whether it was Decker, Deckard, or Dekker. And from what I have encountered in the census records of some of my family, it could be any of these. I know there are some Deckers in Grayson County, Ky.
Not sure I understand your message. Is Ruthie buried in the same cemetery as Harvey and Minerva. Do you know the name of the cemetery? Are all the family buried in the same cemetery in Vicksburg. Do you think that Harvey married again after Minerva's death. Where is the picture that your father had of he and Ruthie. Seems we have more questions and no known answers.
Sam

Henry had two Daughters from another marriage. Dixie A. Sanderson, b. 1885 and Romie C Sanderson, B. 1890. Henry Married Minerva in 1894. Moved to Houston, Tennessee in 1900. I am not sure if Harvey Dewey Decker knew Minerva before she married Henry Sanderson. Harvey and Minerva both were in Clarksville at the same time. From the information I have, Harvey Married Alice Byers in 1897, Clarksville, Tennessee. Left her and ran off with Minerva in 1904. Harvey Dewey Decker and Minerva traveled to Mississippi and made a home there. Along the way they lived in Missouri, May have live in Arkansas, Louisiana and settled in Warren Co. Mississippi.

We never had a maiden name. My mother is still alive to verify some information. Granduncle Walter had nick name.
This sounds exactly like my family.
I would like to exchange information with you.
My email is michtol51@yahoo.com.
