looking for person with adress "Anonymus" etc. in case Michel de la Bruyere

Searching for genealogy-information, I found at the site "ancestry.com.au" a question, posted at 5th of august 2004 by "Anonymus" who asked more information about Michel de la Bruyere born about 1616 possibly in Hénin-Liétard (Nord Pas de Calais, France), married with Charlotte Chevalier and their son Jaspar.
May be I can help other people with this question, I would like to come in contact with the people that asked this question, or other people that are related to this branch of (de)(la)Bruyere.

Hi Diana,
It's so nice to hear from you.

I had assumed that Paula Bruyere was French Canadian, however, the following information was found in some of her old papers:

PAULA JULIA RENEE BASTIN ( nee BRUYERE, born in Jumet, Belgium on 4/2l/14). Daughter of Jules Bruyere and Victorine Catherine Juliette Meunier, married on 12 Dec. 1938 in Jumet to Simon Albert Bastin (born 4/15/14 in Courcels, Belgium – son of Charles Joseph Bastin and Mathilde Lachambre). Emigrated to the US before 1986 (date unknown) Mrs. Bastin was a widow who died in Queens, New York about a year ago.

Would you happen to know of any Bruyeres originally from Jumet, Belgium?

Thank you for any assistance you may be able to give!

Best regards,
Jacqueline

Hi Diana,

It's so nice to hear from you.

I had assumed that Julia Bruyere Bastin was French Canadian, but some of her papers were recently found, and it turns out that I was wrong about that, as well as her mother's maiden name, which was Meunier (not Meurier). Here's the basic information we now have:

PAULA JULIA RENEE BASTIN ( nee BRUYERE, born in Jumet, Belgium on 4/2l/14). Daughter of Jules Bruyere and Victorine Catherine Juliette Meunier, married on 12 Dec. 1938 in Jumet to Simon Albert Bastin (born 4/15/14 in Courcels, Belgium – son of Charles Joseph Bastin and Mathilde Lachambre). Mrs. Bastin died in Queens, New York in November of 2000.

Do you know of any Bruyere's originally from Belgium, maybe even Jumet?

Thanks for your kind efforts. Have a nice weekend.

Cordially,

Jacqueline

Hi Jacqueline,

I have been working on the Bruyere line. The last name was spelled Briere until Michel. I have not come across a Jules or a Victorine Meurier. Michel's line lived in Quebec until he married Elizabeth from Ontario, Canada. Do you have any other information about Jules?

Diana (Alaska)

Bruyeres from Champagne France

Searching for possible descendants of Jacques Bruyere who emigrated to America in the late 1600s from Germany. He was a Huguenot who fled to Greifenthal Germany to escape persecution. He came to America with possibly 5 children:
Pierre, Jean, Jeanne, Jacques & Susanne. I am a descendant of Pierre. Other siblings may have possibly settled in New York. Looking for any descendants of other 4 children. Pierre changed his name to Peter Bruere and settled in Monmouth County, New Jersey. I have information from family bible from early 1700s stating names of children of Pierre.
