Irvin. A. Bryan

I am looking for information on Irvin A. Bryan, or brother John H., or any of his descendants. They were living in Calhoun Co., MS. at the time of the Civil War. Both brothers served in company F of the MS. 4th infantry. Irvin eventually moved to Sebastian County, Arkansas, where he lived and died.

Marriage seems most likely given her age, but you've checked those. Perhaps it's there but under a middle or nickname?

I was told many years ago through my parents that on my fathers side of the family we were related to William Jennings Bryan, I am guessing it was WJB mother's side (Mariah Elizabeth (Jennings), I am wondering if anyone knows if Mariah was related to a Noah Jennings, he too was born in Kentucky like Mariah. They lived in Ohio and Nebraska as far as I know.
My great grandmother Rachel Helena Scott's mother was Ervilla Jennings. Any info is appreciated.

Archibald Holland Bryan/Bryant

I found an Archibald Holland Bryant living in West Fork, Washington Co., AR in 1850. He apparently acquired a US Land Patent in 1843. He was listed with his wife Winna, Sarah, Lavina Cornelia, and John. I found that he married Winnie House 17 Nov 1834 in Davidson Co., TN. From deeds I could determine his death to be 1858/1859, but cannot find any others information on Winnie or the rest of the family. I also am not sure where Archibald is buried. There is very little online about him or his family. Any additional help would be appreciated.

and Catherine Donovan, she was born abt 1866 in London.

I have traced her through the census up to 1891 living at
16 Lant Street, Southwark, her occupation at the time was a Milliner Dresser Shopwoman, after this census return she dissapears, i have searched marriage, census, ships records and death, but without any sucess,Where did she go?.

Documents in the family tree research that my dad turned up only hint at a connection to Delaware. One census puts the family in Delaware for the birth of dad's great-grandfather James Bryan in 1789. This is unconfirmed by any other documentation.

I just came across this thread. It looks like my gggrandma, Laura was your Charles Wesley Bryan's sister. Do you have any more info on this family than you stated in your post. I only had Laura's dad as Henry Marlin Bryan, and his dad as William Henry Bryan. It looks like you have two more generations than I have. I would love any more info that you have on this line.

theres a book called A History of the Pioneer Famlies of Missouri published originally in 1876. It has alot of info on Daniel Boone and the Bryans that followed him into Kentucky and Missouri. It was written by a Bryan.It has been put on cd and i think some were for sell on ebay at one time.

I descend from John Neely's and William Carroll Bryan's brother, James Bracken Bryan, Sr. I have some info on the family. James Sr. had a William Carroll(named for his uncle), Louisa, Henrietta, and James Jr. by first wife, Lenora Mitchell). He then married the Elizabeth Beeman Harter (widow of Henry Harter and sister of Margaret Beeman Bryan, wife of John Neely Bryan). They had one surviving son named Samuel Harter Bryan. After a divorce, James moved to California and had another family. Sam H. Bryan's name was changed to Cumby when Elizabeth married Wm. Cumby.

I am named after Martina Bryan (Ms. Roy B. Hood) who was named after her mother. She was my great-great grandmother I have in my records and according to the 1870 census listing Martina Bryan's mother was Martina as well. Not Maggie. It may have been a nickname. I have a letter from George Bryan addressed to Gladys Paulette Dixon (my great grandmother)who was Martina Bryan's daughter. I have three Bryan cousins (Ross, Kimball and Dave) who live in Gardner Kansas. Born in 1942, 1947 and 1953. Their sister, Ardis, lives in Salina. Their father (Ludwell Beach Bryan) was the brother of my mother.

It has been awhile since I posted and hoping someone can help by now... Reading (Redin,Reddin) Bryan born 1802 Ga. (Parents unknown) moved to Ala. early 1830-s - Lowndes Co. -Left, came to La. Union Parish 1845 (in 1850 census) Left, went to Ashley Co.Ark 1860...dies in 1871- will left everything to wife(Jane)
My problem is his parents..Some say John and I know John had a son Reading D. Bryan dies 1850 in Ga...Not my Reddin..
My grandmother once told me his father was Erastus Theophilus ....
Can't find this person on any census He must have been born in late 1700's. there is an Eratus Bryan and a Theophilus Bryan but both born after my Reddin....Anyone have any info that might give me a hint on what part of Ga. My great-great-grandfather, Reddick Bryan was first found in Martin County, NC in the early 1800s. There were many Bryans in that area and I am trying to put those Bryans together into families. Some moved to South Carolina and Alabama, while others, like Reddick moved to GA. Reddick lived in Twiggs and Houston Counties in GA before moving to Bienville Parish in 1838. If you have information or even questions about Reddick Bryan’s family OR Bryan families who lived in Martin County, I would love to hear from you. Every clue helps!

I'm looking for any information on members of the Bryan family.

Osbert originated in Cuba, married with a daughter Magadelene born in Cuba, and the migrated to Jamaica with other members of his family and bought a plot of land. In Jamaica more children were born - Winston, Victor, Ephraim, Peridta and Aston, 19 children in total, which included 3 sets of twins. All were both in the late 1910's early 1920's.

Some of these children emigrated to England and now decendents live in the Manchester area, and I am helping a good friend (grand-daughter of Osbert) try and trace her history.

Any help would be appreciated of the best places to search for records, etc. as we have very little to go on.
