My grandfather was Edwin (Buddy) Brezinski. His wife was Lorraine. He had 8 brothers and sisters and his mother and father were kiled by a drunk driver when he was 18 years old. He ended up raising them all. My father came from North Dakota and was introduced to my mother Patricia (Brezinski) Kambeitz. Uncle Bernie was my favorite and I will never forget him. He was missing some fingers (I believe from a work accident?) He was the nicest man and always had such a smile. I remember going to their home with my cousins Wendy and Russ Wronski and playing LIFE (board game). Some of the best memories of my life. I remember Uncle Bernie paying my nickles to dance in my grandpa's basement in Chicago. It seemed the older we got the less we made it to Chicago, then my grandfather died at 56 years old. My grandma moved in with Penny (Brezinski) Wronski my mom's twin sister. Though I haven't seen MANY of them for years... I will never forget any of them! :-)

I have fond memories of Aunt Katie. She was a dear person. I went to her funeral with my sister. My name is Chuckie. I would be happy to share information with you. I live in the Buffalo area. I would be happy to send you some information at your email address below if you would like.

My husbands great grandparents are John Paluszynski(1871-1946) and Mary Komasa(1874-1960). They are both buried in Calvary Cemetery in Erie, Pa (section 13-71, gr 1&2). I'm researching his side of the family. Paluszynski later turned into Paluh. His grandmother is Catherine Paluh Prylinski, Garvin from Erie, Pa. (She's one of John and Mary's kids/They has 11 kids.) Most of them are buried in Calvary Cemetery in Erie, Pa. I have pictures of their tombstones. Joseph Stanley's Paluh's 1st wife was Feliksa Magdalinski, Paluh,Nowakowski(1890-1974-buried with her "new" husband Jakob Nowakowski(1885-1953)in Calvary Cemetery) His 2nd wife was Rose Marie Konkel, Paluh. Joseph Stanely Paluh and Rose Marie Konkel, Paluh are buried side by side in Calvary (Section 25-325 gr 25)Have info and always looking for more info :o) drlast33@aol.com

Thanks
Renee Lastowski

He also attended my grandfather's funeral. He seems to have been a very social person. What family is yours? How can I look them up?
Daria, do you have Adam Brzezinski in your family tree? He was in my grandfather's wedding. So either he was a friend of my grandfather's (from work in the mines of PA or a friend from back home in Poland/Russiak), or he was related to my grandfather or my grandmother. Do you know which it was? And do you know what happened to Adam Brzezinski? Did he return to Poland?

christiefox@prodigy.net

He went to NAnticoke, PA and lived there until his death married to Helen Lukascewski Brzezinski. He came from Plock Russland. Next door lived his brother Teofil and his wife Costantia Figalarski Brzezinski who arrived May 16, 1892 who was younger.

Hello potential distant cousin (if in name only) :)

Sadly, I am unfamiliar with all of your wonderful information. My knowledge is limited to my maternal grandmother's name (Mary). :( I'm hoping that my cousin may have found more of her background. It's difficult to learn of one's roots when the only info available is a city name, that she did not like Prussians and that there was a swing in her childhood yard.

I thank you profusely for sharing your in depth work! Perhaps my cousin can find a link within your data. He checks on the Bednarski board at rootsweb.ancestry.com

Thanks again!

I received your message. My ggrandfather was Adam and my ggrandmother was Elizabeth Kurish. My ggrandfather's father was Felix Berzinski. His mother was Catherine Lowanchuck. I haven't been able to find any information on the family. My ggrandfather social security app. says he was from Risson Poland. My grandfather's name was Stanley and he was born in 1901. On the 1930 census it says my grandfather was born in Russia in 1879. I don't have any of what you have on your family. I have also gotten papers where the names is spelled Bersinskas. If you have any suggestions for me to find this family I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

They had two sons and a daughter - Leonard, Joseph and Helen. Leonard changed his last name to Blake. Joseph changed his last name to Carter. Perhaps we are distant cousins. At the time of my mother's death, her last name was Conant.

Spellings/Names

I'm not sure if I'm in the right area, but I have a question about spellings.

My great grandparents on my father's side, are Jacob and Antoinette Brzezinski (I am unsure of Antoinette's Maiden name), and I've found a family tree with a Jacob with a k instead c, that's fine. In the tree I found, Jakob married an Antonina, it seems to have matched the information I've put in.

So my question is, besides the obvious name change, could the names be varied in spellings?

Thanks,
Krystyna

I have some naturalizations papers (copy) that I got from Library of Michigan in Lansing,MI. for Joseph Brzezinski born in Poland 1889. He is living in Detroit with wife and kids. When I was researching my Brz. people I thought he could be my Joseph but is not (after comparing more info I later obtained). So-I have these papers that I would like to get to the relatives of this Joseph Brz.If this sounds familiar let me know and we can compare notes.
Diane

My mom had a cousin named Agnes who lived in Baltimore. Agnes' father was Jeromes youngest brother. Agnes father's name was Clement. Joseph Brzezinski, pictured in the Mt.
I have a picture of my grandfather's 1903 wedding picture. In it is Adam Brezezinski who was from Pittsburgh, PA. I presume Adam is anywhere between 23 and 28 on that picture.
I know for a few months my grandfather Gus/Konstanty Rybka worked in the coal mines in PA. Maybe Adam was a friend of my grandfather's but I'd like to know if maybe they were from the same place in Korzeniste, Russia (now Poland) or if we are related.
Hi Chris,

I believe you are correct (Anton and Josephine being siblings).

Anton Brzezinski
Born 11 July 1878 in Milwaukee, WI, USA
Death 25 July 1953 in Cassel, Marathon, WI, USA
Married to:
Anna Filtz (aka Annastasia Feltzkowski, most likely - again, many varied spellings of Feltzkowski surname)
13 April 1888 in Cassel, Marathon, WI, USA Death
1961

Josephine Brzezinski
Born 17 March 1883 in Milwaukee, WI, USA
Death 6 December 1943 in Cassel, Marathon, WI, USA

Other siblings (I believe) include the following:
Franziska Brzezinski (no info)
Peter Brzezinski (no info)
Another possible sister (no info)

Josephine's/Anton's parents were:
Thomas Brzezinski
Born 23 December 1847 in Poland
Death 28 October 1926
Anna Kubatszke
Born 1844 in Poland
Death 16 Nov 1911

And lastly, Josephine was married to:
Stephan Feltzkowski (my maternal great grandfather)
Born 20 August 1879 in Cassel, Marathon, WI, USA
Death 4 November 1958 in Cassel, Marathon, WI, USA

Hope this helps. I'm thinking Josephine and my Great Grandfather (Anton Brzezinski) may have been brother and sister. Do you know any of Josephine's siblings. Otherwise, Anton's wife was Annastasia Feltzkowski, although I'm not sure of the last name spelling.

-Chris
