My Buchs came to Brownhelm Township about 1850. Paul Buch and Christina Buch arrived from Prussia. The brought their daughter Anna Marie (Emma) Buch (1838) who married about 1851 to John Bach (1831) also from Prussia. The had several kids: Anna, Elizabeth, Peter, John, William, and Paul Bach my great grandfather. Paul and Christina had at least one other daughter named Catherine (@1828).

I'm at a complete standstill. I would appreciate any help or leads. Thanks. Paul

Buch, M. in 1929 Richmond, VA yearbook

RE: The Marshallite, 1929 John Marshall High School yearbook (Richmond, VA)

Buch, M.

This yearbook lists the members of the Senior class of 1929, faculty members, members of the Corps of Cadets, and many members of various clubs (not all). Unfortunately, it does not list the names of the members of the Junior, Sophomore or Freshmen classes (only officers listed for those classes).

I extracted all of the names (& some other information) from the yearbook & have put them on my genealogy web site (total of 13 web pages, containing over 1,900 records; sorted alphabetically by surname).

The link to the first page of these extracts on my web site is:

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/family/r...

Or it can be accessed through the "General Research" link on the main page at:

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

Please note that I put all kinds of genealogy information on my web site, not just data about the families I am researching. I hope the information I've put online helps someone with their research . . .

Susan :)
Sassytazzy's Online Genealogy Research Library
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

I have done further digging, and discovered that the adam buch that was killed by doc pool was from germany, and was the father of the adam buch that married louise schneider (who was from Portsmouth, Ohio). They in turn had a son named adam, who died young. This couple lived in Portsmouth, Ohio until death. I have both of their death certificates. The other buch's remained in the wheeling, west virginia area, i think.

Buch Family in Pittsburg, PA.

In the History of Allegheny County, Pa. Vol II, pg 730, there is a biography of Ernest C. A. BUCH, son of Frederick W. Buch, who married Philomena Snyder, daugher of Francis and Mary A. Snyder, on Dec 24, 1867. Their children were Esther, Elmer, Augustus, George, Park and Charlotte Buch. I would like to hear from any descendants of this family. Also is this Mary A. Snyder possibly formerly Mary A. Wagner, daughter of Anthony and Magdaline Riling Wagner? Am also searching for the marriage of Francis and Mary A., possibly in PA.
At the moment I am not online so my email address is old.
Chuck, do you live in Wheeling? I came to the library and read this message, sorry it has taken me so long to answer. My great-grandmother was Anna Mary Buch. (I do not have my Flading genenealogy with me at the moment, so this is just off the top of my head.) Sometimes she is referred to as Mary, so I think and it is possible by dates that I have that she is either a daughter or sister to Adam Buch. Now they all lived in the same area of Wheeling (East). I have been trying for a very long time to find out about her, and I hope you may know something? Maybe what you already posted will help. I come to Wheeling a lot and go to the library there to research, that is where I found out about Adam being killed. Hope to here from you soon, she was my dad's paternal grandmother. I know more about her in my paper work. B.

I was wondering if Adam Buch is the same person who married Elizabeth Balzer on Jan 6, 1854 and had five children. Those being: Adam, Mary, Christina, Catherine and Leopold Buch. If so, I have copies of Guardian Bonds for four of the children making Maurus Balzer, my great-great-grandfather, a guardian of the children. I was wondering if you would have any information on the Elizabeth Balzer who married Adam Buch as I believe she and Maurus were brother and sister. I was also wondering if you would have information on the children of Adam and Elizabeth.

Thanks,
Chuck.

Hi Beth,

I do live in Wheeling. I visit the library in Wheeling frequently, so if you would like to see the information on the Buch family that I have just let me know when you will be there and we can meet, if you'd like. I also think that Anna Mary was probably a brother of Adam. According to the naturalization declaration for Adam, he was born in Hessen, Germany on February 15, 1832, about four years after his wife. I have some information on all of the children of Adam and Elizabeth, except for their son John Adam, who moved out of town. If you would like that information just let me know. If you could, would you please e-mail me directly at cbrahler@yahoo.com as I am having trouble accessing this site.

Thanks,
Chuck.
