The Buchanan Brothers (New York to Michigan)

Arthur Lafayette Buchanan
b. Aug 4, 1844 in Lockport, Niagara County, New York.
married Millie Depell on Sept 28, 1882 in Gratiot County, Michigan.
d. Feb 7, 1918 in St Louis, Gratiot County, Michigan.

John Jerome Buchanan (My Great Grandfather)
b. Oct 19, 1846 in Lockport, Niagara County, New York.
married Malvina Westbrooke on June 1, 1881 in Gratiot County, Michigan.
d. Apr 9, 1927 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.

Both appear in the 1880 Michigan census working as farm workers in
Gratiot County, Bethany Township, District 91.

Arthur's death cert is on Seeking Michigan web site.
It shows his parents as John Buchanan and Mary Ann Wheeler Buchanan.
This confirms some fuzzy notes that were given to me by a cousin.

The fuzzy notes say that
John Buchanan was born July 4, 1796, place unknown
Mary Ann Wheeler was born about 1817 in Canada
and the marriage might have been in Lockport.

My Questions --

Did John and Mary Ann come to Michigan with the boys?
If they did not come to Mich, then where did they live and die?
Were there any other children from this marriage?

I would like birth dates and place, marriage date and place
death dates and burial location for John and Mary Ann

This has been my brick wall for a long time.
